The Barn provides spacious first floor self catering accommodation in an impressive and artistic conversion of one of the oldest buildings in the Derbyshire Peak District Village of Youlgrave. The entrance leads to a large comfortable open plan lounge with impressive maple wood flooring. Home comforts include TV, DVD, and stereo/radio CD player, Free WiFi. The fully fitted kitchen area includes an induction hob and electric fan oven, a fridge, a washing machine, a microwave and a food storage section. Also provided, is a kettle, a toaster, together with all utensils and crockery that is needed to make your stay "home from home".

Youlgrave is a an attractive village in the centre of Derbyshire's Peal District National Park, recently voted in the top 10 places to visit in the UK.
The small charming cottages, traditional of the area, make up most of the village scene. At the foot of the village are the two rivers of Bradford and Lathkill which meander their way towards Matlock. Three traditional village pubs serve real ale and a good selection of food. A butcher's shop and post office provide all the provisions needed for self catering. Close by is the ever popular Market town of Bakewell possessing individual shops, including the famous Bakewell Pudding shop. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both within walking distance or an easy drive. Buxton, the famous spar town is a short drive away and the medieval town of Ashbourne with its vast number of Antique shops is within easy reach. The area is ideal for cycling with two famous trails, Monsall and Tissington, offering cycle hire. Youlgrave, being situated at the heart of the White Peak, is an ideal centre on which to base a walking holiday. The Limestone Way runs through the village, as does the Inn Way both providing spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. There is ample, safe, on street parking around the village, as well as two dedicated car parks at either end of the village. A frequent bus service provides an easy and comfortable ride in to the towns of Bakewell, Matlock, and Buxton as well as travelling through some of the more remote villages. There is also a local taxi service. There is a national train station at Matlock.
