Description

55 Meadow Drive is situated in a quiet residential area in the heart of the lovely seaside village of Bembridge just off Swains Road; the house is a 4 minute walk to the beach via a footpath (no roads to cross!), a 5 minute walk to the village centre and all the amenities, and a 15 minute walk to Bembridge Harbour. The house is a bungalow but does have some steps to access the property.

A bungalow with three bedrooms, a large open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room. The three bedrooms comprise of: one kingsize with an ensuite shower, a twin room and then a double bedroom with its own cloakroom (basin and toilet). There is a family bathroom with shower over the bath off the main hallway. The third bedroom does have a low ceiling.

Outside there is parking for two cars, a terrace that gets the sun from about 11 and to the rear of the property double doors open up onto a decked area for evening meals or breakfast in the sun. There is a small grassed area to the rear with a washing line.

All the rooms are furnished with duvets and wall mounted televisions. There is WiFi which is offered on a fair usage basis. The small utility area has offers a washing machine and drier. The recently installed and fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge freezer, drinks fridge, microwave, oven and induction hob.

Getting around

From the house you can walk to the beach, the shops and other local amenities; they are many footpaths and tracks around the village that allow you to explore the village without spending too much time on the road. You can perhaps walk the entire coastal path (75 miles) we completed it in 2019, an amazing experience. Cycling is also a good option, the roads are generally quiet - for the more adventurous there is around the island route. To get further afield then a car is useful - certainly to get to the larger shops or other parts of the island. There is a good bus service, the nearest stop is about a 10 min walk from the house. And, of course, there are a number of small taxi firms that can help too.

“Wonderful Stay”

We had a wonderful stay at Meadow Drive and would highly recommend this bungalow, there was plenty of room, it was bigger than expected and was very clean and had everything you would need was provided even in these Covid times. The location is great, less then 5mins to nearest beach and also was for ideal for visiting other parts of the island, we managed to see the whole east coast from the north down to south and traveled across to the west for the Needles landmark which we would recommend just for the views alone from the chairlifts & speedboat. Our highlight of the trip though was walking with Alpacas, this was great experience!

“perfect place for family holiday”

The location was amazing, the beach was 5 minute away. the house was neat and clean and spacious. the homeowner was quick in replying all of my queries. We were really impressed with the whole house layout. rooms were spacious, clean, they have few board games in the house which my 7-year-old son loved. I would highly recommend this place and for sure will book this place for my next holidays.
