“Great Vacation at Villa Ka Kuxta” Villa Ka Kukta was a little paradise for all my family 5 adults and 7 children.We all had a wonderful time. Akumal is a wonderful place to stay, the villa is in a secluded location and we really appreciated that. Akumal Playa and Village are very nice, we enjoyed the restaurants and the boutiques there. It is easy to visit some of the Maya sites: we went to Tulum, Koba and Chichen Itza. We enjoyed Christmas Mass in Chemuyil, people there were very friendly, in fact all mexicans are really very nice. The management and staff at the villa were perfect, they cooked nice dinners for us and did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable. We were sad to leave and sorry we could not stay longer (the trip from France is quite long and tiresome, but my son and son-in-law had to go back to work, a week is too short...) All of us will keep wonderful memories of this awsome place and we wish you a great 2103.

“In a nutshell, perfect!” We loved staying at La Mirage. It was quiet, welcoming, safe, well maintained and immaculate. Staff was helpful and accommodating, and owner was very responsive and patient with my questions. Booking was a breeze and everything was just as we agreed to--no surprises. The location was great, and we took full advantage of snorkeling right at our doorstep. Great eateries next door and within a short walk. The place had lots of lovely Mexican charm. Very relaxing. We can't wait to go back!

“wonderful as always” Luna azul is a special place located on a special beach, where the turtles swim right up to your front door. One day we saw 11 of them while snorkelling. The local restaurants (Buena Vida and Lunita) are not supplemented by a new discovery in the local town called La Ultima Maya.

“We had a wonderful time in Mexico and villa areccife played a bi” We stayed at the villa areccife for a week in November of 2012. I am not a resort fan therefore we've rented a lot of houses in different places. And this is one of the best. It is a new, modern, well-appointed, well-equipped house. It had everything we needed. It is located in the residential part of the resort. When we stayed there only a few houses were built making the villa private and quite place. The villa staff is very nice and helpful. On our arrival despite the late hours (around 8PM) we were greeted by alex Estrella a villa manager, who also works at the resort. When we arrived at the Cancun airport late afternoon even though I reserved a car at Herz, thinking it is a respectable car rental company, there were no cars available. We had to take a taxi to the villa. Next morning alex drove my husband to a car rental place. Whenever we had problems with the villa alex was always available to deal with them. The housekeeper Diana was at the villa every day (even on Sunday) making it sparkling clean. We had a wonderful time in Mexico and villa areccife played a big role in it.

“Favorite Condo on Half Moon Bay” We've stayed at 3 other properties on Half Moon Bay and Vista del mar is our new favorite. It's closer to akumal Pueblo and we enjoyed having the services like bike rentals, pool, and La Buena Vida right next door. (It would be really nice if La Buena Vida was open for breakfast, or if there was a coffee shop within walking distance. With a 2 bedroom unit, our teenager got her own room and it was nice to have Internet access. We stayed in unit #3. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. We especially liked the double sliding doors which afforded a beautiful view and a very open feel. The snorkeling in Half Moon Bay was better than expected. We usually go to akumal Playa for beach access, but the reefs in Half Moon Bay are pretty spectacular. The people in the front office were friendly and helpful, although everything went well and we rarely needed them. We learned that it can take up to 5 minutes for the water to heat, but once we knew that, no problemo. We will definitely stay at Vista del Mar again. We might consider a ground floor unit next time.

“A perfect place” The Condo was great. Very spacious, well decorated (the bathrooms are beautiful) and very clean (the maid comes every day) The view is breath taking.(We were on the last floor) The beach is very quite. You need some water shoes to enter the water because there is some rocks. The snorkeling is quite good. We saw some turtles, rays, and some school of blue fishes. Enjoy the Sunrises, they are worth waking up early!

“Fabulous Villa” Villa Palmilla is a beautiful villa. It is truly a pleasure the moment you walk through the gates and enter the courtyard and doesn't end. Everything is perfect---the decor, the staff, the location. Can't wait to get back next year. Have stayed at Villa Palmilla the past three summers.

“Loved it!” Fantastic location. Right across the street from a beautiful cenote and a short walk through the jungle (there's a path) to the highway. The beach is a looong walk, in my opinion. We preferred the bay in akumal. We took colectivos everywhere (no car), and that was fine. The house, itself, was very nice. The backyard was gorgeous. A great base of operations. My only issues/cons: - Couches were not comfortable (I like to hang out on the couch & read). I could kind of tell that from the pictures, though, so I was prepared. - In the back yard, there's a very deep unfilled pool-like thing. Very pretty, but I didn't feel comfortable having my 4 year old near it, as she tends to fall into things like that. (she didn't). I would have liked for it to have had a board across it or something. - I could never pick up the owner's wifi signal (which I needed as I did had to work part of the time). A super nice neighbor came by and gave me their passcode, so I used that. It was very intermittent, and I was unable to talk to my husband via FaceTime (a big reason I needed/wanted wifi). But if you're not planning to go online... then no big deal. For me, though, it was. (I had rented a phone through the transport company, Canada Transfers, for $17... so I was able to at least talk to my husband) It was fantastic having a kitchen, and man you can't beat the price! A really cute house. Everyone in the neighborhood was really nice, and I felt very safe. Dennis was very responsive to any issues that came up. A wonderful trip!

“Akumal -a taste of Mexico and a good campbase for travelling aro” This was our first time in Mexico. We selected akumal as location because from there we could go in any direction we wanted. We wanted to see Punta allen, Chichen Itza, Cancun, do some snorkeling, sit on the beach just in front of our condo ...well everything is there. We did all the above, snorkeling is easy in Yal-Ku which is near by. The condo was very nice, the position was excellent, the accents in the room made us feel how it would be to live there... the result: we are in love with Mexico and planning to come back. “very nice” marvellous place and beach in an unspolied environment

“Much more than we expected!” Fabian and Dana are so accommodating and laid back... this jungle condo was a great, centrally located "nature retreat" for our action-packed family vacation. Lovely flora and fauna & unexpected jungle sounds... including monkeys and interesting tropical birds :) We chose the spot for its proximity to akumal beach, which was an easy drive, but not walkable with kids b/c of the distance and big highway to cross. Car was necessary. We loved using the beach chairs and boogie boards generously shared :) The condo itself was clean and simple with tasteful, modern furnishings, including on-demand hot water and aC with humidity control... pretty luxurious for their rates! Wish we had stayed longer to just hang out more on the patios, in the pool, etc. Only one minor complaint: pillows were too large for our old, cranky necks, but we fixed that by rolling up the comforter across the head of the bed. : ) Thank you for everything, Fabian and Dana!

“Great beach experience with all the conveniences.” Great location in akumal on the beach. Accommodations were spacious and prices excellent. They have a cook who will deliver meals to your own dinning room at very reasonable costs and the food is very good. The accommodations are not plush but very clean and all of the people who work there are muy simpatico.

“Fabulous Vacation Condo” This is the second time we've stayed in Luna azul #5. It's a wonderful condo that is delightfully appointed. The decorations are tasteful and tropical and the condo is very comfortable. The master bedroom has a king bed which is comfortable. The second bedroom has a queen and a single, which comfortably accommodates another couple or children. Though some may not like dealing with the stairs (it is the 3rd story), they're well worth the wonderful views and ocean breezes (which make the air Conditioner unnecessary). From the balcony (complete with table and chairs) you have a beautiful view of the beach and ocean; from the bathrooms you can see the extensive jungle canopy. The property is well maintained and the maid service is excellent. We've never had any issue with theft, and there is a security guard on duty at night. He was very helpful and helped us get checked in (we arrived late at night). The condo has a full kitchen which we used throughout our trip, but on those lazy nights there are several restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite restaurant is La Buena Vida. There are a few stores near the condo where you can buy most of your groceries, but I prefer the Chedauri in Puerto aventuras or Tulum to stock up for the trip. If you like laying on the beach, there are a palapas and chairs right there by the water.

“Paradise!” Our two families stayed at Casa San Francisco for one week (4 adults and kids 19, 16, 14, 12 and 12). The house was perfect for our vacation! There was enough room for everyone in this beautiful house and being right on the beach was heaven. Everyone in the group swam in the pool and ocean, and many went kayaking and snorkeling in our 'back yard.' Beach towels are included at the house, as well as toiletries like you would get in a hotel. Although many places to see where close-by, some of the best time that we spent was just hanging around the villa, reading in the hammock, relaxing on the beach or swimming. The location of the house is great to get to many attractions, most only 1/2 hour or so away. Some of the activities we did (other than relaxing at the villa) were snorkeling at Yal-ku lagoon, visitng ruins at Tulum and Coba, shopping in akumal, Tulum and Playa del Carmen, visiting Hidden Worlds and Xcaret parks, and visiting other beaches (Akumal, Tulum, others). Guille (the staff manager) was very attentive and helpful with suggestions on places to go or things to do. Some in our group were worried about security given the news from other (far-away) parts of Mexico, but we felt very safe at the villa with the security provided. Marcia from akumal Direct Reservations was extremely helpful in pre-trip advice and answering our many questions about the place. It's always a little nerve-wracking preparing to go somewhere you have never visited, but she helped put us at ease. One thing we did not do but I wished we had done was to have dinner cooked for us one night as this was a highlight for others who had stayed at the house (as written in the guestbook). I highly recommend Villa San Francisco for a family or large group vacation.

“Year # 6” I recently returned from the Riviera Maya and my 6th year stay at Villas DeRosa Resort. In my reasonably priced dive package they included: airport transfers, a comfortable and clean ocean front condo, and an abundance of good food, transportation to the dive sites and some great dive guides. The common areas, pool and beach are safe and clean. The staff is friendly, flexible and willing to help. Planning year #7. dhw

“Four days in akumal” We stayed in the studio condo. The room was huge! The kitchen had stove, ref, micro, small appliances...everything you need. The balcony was amazing, direct ocean front 16x23 feet. While the bathroom was big, the huge window which allows an amazing view to the sea does not have a curtain so anyone on your balcony can look in. The location allowed for easy day trips to Tulum, Coba, etc. Easy walking distance to central akumal at .5 miles.

“Relaxing Turtle Haven” Perfect! Lots of room, centrally located, perfectly secure with multiple security guards who took great care of our kids and showed them turtles at night. Turtles and eggs everywhere. Beautiful yard and pool with lots of great activities.

“Our Wonderful Golden Jubilee(Anniversary) Vacation” We love to travel, we lov e to see new things, learn about the cultureand a bit of the histoery of the places we visit. There are few places that we like to revisit. Akumal is the exception. We brought our whole family, our kids and grandkids. We told them this wouldn't be a sit on the beach vacation although we did do that also. This was our 50th Anniversary and we wanted to share this beautiful place with them. They were blown away with the beauty of the Bay, the Ocean and the Lagoon. We also visited many of the historical sites such as Chichen Itza and sone of the cenotes and ecological sites such as Xcaret. To top it off we had a gorgeous Villa with a swimming pool(our grandkids loved it) We also were blessed with a wonderful couple,Abelardo and Basilia who took care of our every need. I can't say enough good things about Abelardo and Bacilia. They were gourmet cooks and they kept the Villa spotless. You are fortunate to have 2 such wonderful employees. “Best Beach on the Yucatan!” Great condo right on the pristine white sandy beach with awesome snorkeling right out in front of the condo. #6 unit has a large wrap-around deck for lounging or dining, wi-fi, comfortable beds. Excellent housekeeping, managerial and grounds staff. Security gate attendant 24/7. Lots of fun things to do in the area including Myan ruins, Xcaret Park, Xplor, Hidden Worlds,Plya de Carmel, ferry to Cozumel. Good grocery store in Tulum and local market in akumal on Wed & Sat. Good dive shop and restaurants in akumal. Definitely want to have a car if you're staying at the Seven Sea's Condo to travel around to the sites. Driving was no problem. We did pruchase the Mexican auto insurance ($40/day plus the rental fee $161/wk, expensive but worth the peace of mind). We felt perfectly safe in this area of Mexico.

“lovely place!” Right on a gorgeous white beach in a very quiet location - paradise!

“Comfortable, and complete, with a view to remember” You will love the view, from this comfortable and spacious condo. The decor is lovely and, the condo well equipped. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, sipping beverages on the balconies, or in the living area, all with lovely views. The stairs must be noted, as they are many, but if you are in relatively good condition, will not be a problem and you can eat and drink with no remorse, as you know you've gotten your work out for the day. The pool is nice and offers some shady retreat and change of pace from the beach palapas. Snorkeling is good in half moon bay, and while water shoes are necessary for entry near the condos, easier entry just 2 properties down the beach. The service from management, maintenance and Theresa/Sylvia (housekeeping) was exemplary. The condo has an aC in each bedroom and one in the main living area, which is nice, as you can keep the comfort level personalized per room. Marcelus repaired an aC, as well as a leaky shower head. He is very handy and speaks English quite well. We also had a microwave kaput, which is apparently common due to constant sea moisture. If you hear or smell something strange from a microwave, just unplug it and notify your manager. The unit was replaced the next day. We enjoyed having high speed internet, and sat. tv in order to check the weather forecast. We used the dvd player to watch the slideshow of some photos taken on a rented underwater camera. I really enjoyed the hard boiled egg maker! I used it twice! There were books to read and many of them had wonderful photos of the fish of the Sea below that wonderful expansive wall of windows. I was excited about the hammock and I did use it twice, but it is a bit highly hung (needed a spotter to get in) and unless you are not sharing the balcony at the time, hangs in front of everyone else's view. Not sure it can be hung any other way, but most of the time I draped it out of the weather, so we could all enjoy the amazing view.
