“Great Vacation at Villa Ka Kuxta” Villa Ka Kukta was a little paradise for all my family 5 adults and 7 children.We all had a wonderful time. Akumal is a wonderful place to stay, the villa is in a secluded location and we really appreciated that. Akumal Playa and Village are very nice, we enjoyed the restaurants and the boutiques there. It is easy to visit some of the Maya sites: we went to Tulum, Koba and Chichen Itza. We enjoyed Christmas Mass in Chemuyil, people there were very friendly, in fact all mexicans are really very nice. The management and staff at the villa were perfect, they cooked nice dinners for us and did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable. We were sad to leave and sorry we could not stay longer (the trip from France is quite long and tiresome, but my son and son-in-law had to go back to work, a week is too short...) All of us will keep wonderful memories of this awsome place and we wish you a great 2103.

“We had a wonderful time in Mexico and villa areccife played a bi” We stayed at the villa areccife for a week in November of 2012. I am not a resort fan therefore we've rented a lot of houses in different places. And this is one of the best. It is a new, modern, well-appointed, well-equipped house. It had everything we needed. It is located in the residential part of the resort. When we stayed there only a few houses were built making the villa private and quite place. The villa staff is very nice and helpful. On our arrival despite the late hours (around 8PM) we were greeted by alex Estrella a villa manager, who also works at the resort. When we arrived at the Cancun airport late afternoon even though I reserved a car at Herz, thinking it is a respectable car rental company, there were no cars available. We had to take a taxi to the villa. Next morning alex drove my husband to a car rental place. Whenever we had problems with the villa alex was always available to deal with them. The housekeeper Diana was at the villa every day (even on Sunday) making it sparkling clean. We had a wonderful time in Mexico and villa areccife played a big role in it.

“Fabulous Villa” Villa Palmilla is a beautiful villa. It is truly a pleasure the moment you walk through the gates and enter the courtyard and doesn't end. Everything is perfect---the decor, the staff, the location. Can't wait to get back next year. Have stayed at Villa Palmilla the past three summers.

“Great beach experience with all the conveniences.” Great location in akumal on the beach. Accommodations were spacious and prices excellent. They have a cook who will deliver meals to your own dinning room at very reasonable costs and the food is very good. The accommodations are not plush but very clean and all of the people who work there are muy simpatico.

“Paradise!” Our two families stayed at Casa San Francisco for one week (4 adults and kids 19, 16, 14, 12 and 12). The house was perfect for our vacation! There was enough room for everyone in this beautiful house and being right on the beach was heaven. Everyone in the group swam in the pool and ocean, and many went kayaking and snorkeling in our 'back yard.' Beach towels are included at the house, as well as toiletries like you would get in a hotel. Although many places to see where close-by, some of the best time that we spent was just hanging around the villa, reading in the hammock, relaxing on the beach or swimming. The location of the house is great to get to many attractions, most only 1/2 hour or so away. Some of the activities we did (other than relaxing at the villa) were snorkeling at Yal-ku lagoon, visitng ruins at Tulum and Coba, shopping in akumal, Tulum and Playa del Carmen, visiting Hidden Worlds and Xcaret parks, and visiting other beaches (Akumal, Tulum, others). Guille (the staff manager) was very attentive and helpful with suggestions on places to go or things to do. Some in our group were worried about security given the news from other (far-away) parts of Mexico, but we felt very safe at the villa with the security provided. Marcia from akumal Direct Reservations was extremely helpful in pre-trip advice and answering our many questions about the place. It's always a little nerve-wracking preparing to go somewhere you have never visited, but she helped put us at ease. One thing we did not do but I wished we had done was to have dinner cooked for us one night as this was a highlight for others who had stayed at the house (as written in the guestbook). I highly recommend Villa San Francisco for a family or large group vacation.

“Year # 6” I recently returned from the Riviera Maya and my 6th year stay at Villas DeRosa Resort. In my reasonably priced dive package they included: airport transfers, a comfortable and clean ocean front condo, and an abundance of good food, transportation to the dive sites and some great dive guides. The common areas, pool and beach are safe and clean. The staff is friendly, flexible and willing to help. Planning year #7. dhw

“Relaxing Turtle Haven” Perfect! Lots of room, centrally located, perfectly secure with multiple security guards who took great care of our kids and showed them turtles at night. Turtles and eggs everywhere. Beautiful yard and pool with lots of great activities.

“Our Wonderful Golden Jubilee(Anniversary) Vacation” We love to travel, we lov e to see new things, learn about the cultureand a bit of the histoery of the places we visit. There are few places that we like to revisit. Akumal is the exception. We brought our whole family, our kids and grandkids. We told them this wouldn't be a sit on the beach vacation although we did do that also. This was our 50th Anniversary and we wanted to share this beautiful place with them. They were blown away with the beauty of the Bay, the Ocean and the Lagoon. We also visited many of the historical sites such as Chichen Itza and sone of the cenotes and ecological sites such as Xcaret. To top it off we had a gorgeous Villa with a swimming pool(our grandkids loved it) We also were blessed with a wonderful couple,Abelardo and Basilia who took care of our every need. I can't say enough good things about Abelardo and Bacilia. They were gourmet cooks and they kept the Villa spotless. You are fortunate to have 2 such wonderful employees. “great location” the Office staff was courteous and welcomed me upon arrival, and showed me around. The room was clean and had a coffee maker and small refrigerator in addition to tv. Within a few steps of my door I was at the fresh water pool, a few more steps and I was on the most beautiful beach in the area! The hotel staff were attentive and friendly. The onsite restaurant was a great plus, allowing me to spend as much time on the beach or diving as I wanted, and not driving around finding restaurants. The food was fantastic! All in all, this was a great place to spend a week on the ocean, relaxing.

“Akumal Paradise Rental” We shared this beautiful home with two other families. Even with 6 adults and 7 teenagers, we never felt crowded in Villa Zen del Mar. The home is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Rosa prepared delicious fruit with breakfast every morning, but all of us agreed that Rosa's daily guacamole was the trip favorite! Easy walking distance to the town of Akumal, security and staff on site, chef prepared meals, all made for a perfect vacation! There was something for everyone on this trip! Villa Zen del Mar was everything we could have hoped for and more!

“Just what we're looking for...” My Boyfriend and I were looking for a small intimate place to stay for my Birthday. And we found it at The Villas DeRosa! We stayed in a 1bd beach front condo over looking the amazing ocean below. The service was amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic! We love akumal and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Don't let the dirt road off the highway that leads to the resort fool you..it truly is a diamond in the rough. We're looking forward to our next visit.

“Paradise in the Mayan Riviera” What a magnificent place! I've rented homes online before and what I saw was not always what I got. This exceeded my expectations in beauty, location, services and comfort. Udi's home is designed to perfection. The staff couldn't be better. Martin is an amazing chef. We will definitely return. It was particularly nice to go in July when we could watch the sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach, but this would be one of my top picks anytime of the year. The bedrooms are all gorgeous and the view from the living room is spectacular. Thank you for giving us the perfect family vacation. It was exactly what we hoped for!

“Akumal Sunrise - perfect vacation” Akumal Sunrise is a beautiful home on a quiet stretch of the beach. The owners are lovely and their hospitality was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and luxurious spot.

“Our second visit was as great as the first” This was our second visit to Casa Luna. Its a wonderful home with perfect staffing during the day. The location is central to the beach and good restaurants. The view from the two main bedrooms is amazing. We highly recommend this location for families or adults traveling together.

“Akumal Gem!” I can't say enough about my stay at Casa Del Mar...from the booking process with the owner, Marcia Kirby to everything from start to finish. A wonderful welcoming, attentive staff to take care of everything you would possibly need is such a refreshing difference! The convenience and proximity to the town of akumal is ideal! This lovely home has ample parking that is safe and secured and is monitored by regular security staff, not the norm for many properties here in the area. The house has a great kitchen, dining and living space for one who likes to cook or just relax with friends. Plenty of Dvds available and a modest selection of tv channels although I really did not utilize as much as I expected anyway! A comfortable walk out back area overlooking the ocean where you can enjoy the evening breezes is a delight! The pool in the front of the house is always clean and well maintained, so refreshing! Also a nice table and chairs and chaise loungers out there as well. One bedroom down and two up, I so enjoyed the master bedroom on the ocean side of the house with its double sliding door balcony with hammock and chairs, etc. Very private out back and no fear of getting caught with your curtains open! Even as there is no beach access as it is a rocky fronted property, I did not miss that personally as it is so close to town and I prefer the akumal Bay entry anyway for the beach. The house manager, Angel addressed some minor requests immediately and stopped by here and there during my 3 week stay. Very professional and not intrusive at all! I would highly recommend this beautiful property for the peace and quiet, cleanliness and ample amenities for guests and certainly for the comfort and efficiency provided by the wonderful staff!

“Beautiful vacation at Casa de Colores” First off, the home is superb and wonderfully situated at the north end of Half Moon Bay with sweeping views of the water from nearly every room in the house. Great staff and amenities, this home has everything to make your vacation in akumal special and enjoyable. There are a few dining options are within walking distance and everything the town has to offer is only a short bike ride away, however we also loved staying at home to cook on occasion as you can't beat the view! While you can snorkel outside your door in Half Moon Bay, walk to Yal-Ku lagoon, hang out at the main beach in town or take day trips, I think the beauty of Casa De Colores is that you don't feel like you have to leave. Relaxing on the deck or by the pool with a good book is a great way to spend a day. This home would be good for families.

“Beautiful House” With a perfect view of the blue ocean and a really nice service we fully enjoyed our stay in akumal, the Hause is clean, comfortable, with a nice view and a pool. I can just say good things about it, is well located, just one minute walk from the restaurant and bar la buena vida and 5 minutes walk from the beach and the dive shop. Thanks for everything

Rhett the administrator and his assistant Maria made our arranngements smooth and relaxing from the first day through the last day. The housekeeper Getty and her husband Pedro were friendly and efficient. We will naturally be back.

“Two weeks of fabulous accommodations...” Fantastic home that is ideal for a family, or several couples sharing (3 bed / 3 bath). Management was very responsive and helpful, both Stateside and in Mexico. Can highly recommend both this property and akumal Direct for your next trip "south of the border!"

“akumal rocks!” The house was awesome. A little kooky and a lot of stairs , but other than that it was perfect. Rent a golf cart. It is worth it. The house is huge with plenty of room for our 8 guests. Very peaceful and quiet. When we were there they were doing measurements for a new pool. So it looks like it will be even better. Akumal direct gave us a great off season rate and everything went perfectly. We just drove up when it was almost dark and walked right in to the house and started our vacation. The staff showed up to make sure we were alright and then left us alone. They were a great staff and were always around , but made sure to stay out of our way unless we needed them. And the on site security guard at night was a great touch. A little spooky when you walk around a corner at night and bump into security , but they always tried to stay on the other side of the property when we were awake. This place is great and we would return again for sure

“so awesome!” this was the best family holiday i think i ever had. there were 21 of us and we were well fed, relaxed but with plenty of things to do to keep everyone occupied or not, depending on who wanted to do what. the service was so helpful. they desired to please us at all times. i can't rate the place and experience higher for a fabulous time.

“Fantastic” This is our 6th trip to akumal, always at Nicte Ha. The location is perfection. Cooled by the Carribean breeze, perched on a coral bluff, pool Oceanside with great outdoor space to soak the sun and relax in bliss. Major upgrades to the property. Mari and Jose take care of everything in the light, security at night. Great food, snorkeling a short walk away, and fantastic ruins, shopping and riviera theme parks a short drive. This place is heaven for those looking to try a different path.
