“Perfect place to get away from it all.” Cozy, comfortable, & clean cabin. Plenty of things to do without leaving the cabin, or within a short drive (pool). If you are looking to get away from the hustle & bustle, this is a perfect place. Unfortunately, it rained most of our stay so we didn't get to enjoy the pond or pool much. But the hot tub & pool table got plenty of use! The kids loved it and are already asking when we can go back!

“Sad to Leave” Vacationing with my husband and my parents, we wanted to stay together while having our own private spaces. This cabin fit perfectly. The cabin can comfortably sleeps six, but 4 or less is ideal. The upstairs loft was adorable and my parents chose to stay up there because they thought it would be fun. It had twin beds, so not the most romantic of arrangements...but still fun and unique. The master bedroom was nice. The bed was a little on the soft side for my liking...but that's just me. We kept so busy during the week, I still managed to sleep like a baby the whole trip. The hot tub was always nice and hot and I loved sitting in there at night listening to the sounds and enjoying the view. The shower was a bit of an experience, but nothing I couldn't adapt to. It's a little on the small side, so I recommend making sure the water is to your liking before stepping in, lol. I loved the kitchen, it was wonderful having a full sized fridge, a microwave, toaster, small stove and dish washer. We went grocery shopping upon arriving in town, which saved us a lot of money by not eating out all the time. The biggest draw of all was the washer/dryer. Knowing we could do laundry allowed us to minimize our luggage as well. Over the course of six nights, we fell in love with this cabin and did not want to leave. Our last morning was spent running around, taking pictures of every last nook and cranny...preserving every memory we could. I can't imagine ever staying anywhere else whenever we visit Pigeon Forge from now on. In a moment, Trip Advisor is going to as me if I would recommend this vacation rental to a friend... not only will I, I haven't shut up about it. I can't stop telling my friends about it. :)

“We had a wonderful experience and appreciated having a spotless,” Two big thumbs up for a memorable, unique vacation! We had the best time seeing a lot of sights and experiencing the various area attractions. The Blue Ridge Mountains wrapped in early morning fog were almost ethereal in their beauty, and staying in such a lovely, homey cabin was truly a joy. The cabin was welcoming and cozy in every way -- clean, very well kept, and so comfortable. The scenery was breathtaking from the rocking chairs on the wraparound deck. Although we did not use the hot tub, it was available for us to enjoy. Our entire stay there was a delight, a welcome and warm haven after the harsh Wisconsin winter. “Awesome Cabin - Rude Check In” This was a wonderful vacation, highly recommended. Although Jeannie was extremely rude during check in. We traveled in two family groups for a nice family vacation. Upon arrival, after driving 12 hours, Jennie informed us that we could not check in until our friends arrived. (We already prepaid in full the entire trip splitting the cost half and half) I informed her that they were 6 hours behind us. She insisted that we had to wait and come back when everyone was present to sign in. I insisted this was not fair and it was time for the check in as per our agreement and they would also stop in when they arrived. She acted like she went and talked to a manager and returned and still informed me we had to wait and come back 6 hours later with the other family. I asked her what would of happened if they arrived after hours and could not sign in. She informed me that that would have been fine, but we would just have to come the next day together, although she said we could not get access until after hours using a code then. Clearly this was unreasonable that we had to wait past the check in for both parties and if they did not make it until late then we could enter anyways without signing. So obviously I got upset and demanded to talk to a manager due to me arriving on time six hours before our friends. She informed me that as far as she was concerned she was the manager for today. I became louder and demanded to speak with management and she walked all over the place and then returned stating that we could check in a hour. Without any place to go my whole family sat in the waiting room and suddenly the cabin was ready in ten minutes. Not sure why the mean greeting, but I would not recommend Aunt Bugs. Our friends did sign in when they arrived six hours later as I assured her they would. The vacation was perfect though!

“Unbelievable location and did so many things at this unique cabi” Easy to check in and out. The outside and inside look even better in person. The way it was designed & decorated was so creative with all the small touches around the cabin. Very clean throuhout the cabin and on the outside. The location was perfect. Anything you could ever want to do: Golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, tubing, canoeing, and site seeing. At the community center you can even play volleyball, basketball and other activities. They have 24 hour security in this gating community with partrol cars. I loved the fire pit in the backyard of the cabin and it has the biggest loft I have ever seen. You could walk out the cabin and start hiking on the trails. River in the back and a huge lake steps away. I'm so glad that we decided on this cabin for our vacation. Thank you very much to the River Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“The best weekend getaway of our lives!” We took the trip as a birthday trip for my boyfriend; we just wanted to have a small weekend getaway. As we first arrived, the driveway proved to be very steep (fair warning) (many cabins' driveways are that way) and parking space was small. We had enough room to park and turn our '06 Jeep Grand Cherokee around; however, I do not know if there would be room for two cars at the top of the hill in the parking area for the home. There is room on the hill, though. This was the only issue we had with our stay, and it was very minimal, as it did not affect our trip in the least. We picked the most perfect weekend in January, as it was warm enough to wear shorts any day, and the hot tub on the front porch provided a great view of serenity and sense of privacy. Each bedroom has ample space, and the showers in the bathrooms are very nice. There is a back door leading to a porch that wraps around one side of the cabin and a sitting area on the side. We had such an amazing stay that none of us wanted to leave at the end of that weekend. We will probably plan another stay at this cabin.

“Nice and Cozy” We had a great time during Spring Break 2014. We wanted to do something a little different with grandkids this year, and this Cottage was perfect. (We normally go to Gatlinburg) Cottage sits right on the river with the deck actually out over the river. Hot tub was well taken care of and located where we had a nice view of the river. We didn't realize we had scheduled opening day of trout fishing season, but we took advantage, and my son caught several nice fish right on the property. I enjoyed the fact that the cottage is a part of history, (Former Bat Cave Post Office), yet everything was updated with new fixtures and electronics. The beds slept great, and the grand kids loved the game room. Chimney Rock State Park and little downtown area are just a few minutes from the cottage on the same road. We were a little concerned about available dining close by, but were pleasantly surprised with the variety of options. Also used the available stainless Weber grill on the deck. I am certain we will return later in the summer. The owners were very nice, and made us feel like we were appreciated. Overall a very nice and relaxing vacation. (The massage chair was a bonus when I could get the kids out of it)

“It was a great week.” My church group stayed at the Bear Lodge and the experience more then met our expectations. The lodge was great surrounded by an awesome view. There was no issues the whole week but I did call Ruth one time for a favor and she was happy to help out which I greatly appreciated. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can.

“Loved Deer Lodge” We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Lodge. It was perfect for our family of 4 families. We were there with our son the night before his wedding and what a coincidence that the plaque on the bedroom walls said that the furnishing were from a family from the same town our son was born in. “The perfect solution!” This was a perfect location for our family gathering. A gorgeous setting with comfortable, private bedroom/bathrooms for each family, roomy dining and gathering areas, lots of space to romp for the little ones, and a terrific kitchen that made feeding all of us reasonably priced and easily accomplished. All very accessible to offsite activities... although we were all content to stay onsite some days and enjoy our time together there.

“Clean and comfortable” Great cabin and very comfortable. Owners were very pleasant and prompt in their replies. The cabin itself was very nice and the beds were comfortable. Was disappointed the fireplace was completely cosmetic and had no actual flame. Though the location was fantastic, I was not too thrilled with where the cabin was. I was unaware it was located in what felt like an HOA. All the cabins were on top of each other and it felt more like a neighborhood home. The trip was great though and we appreciate the kindness shown by the owners.
