“WOW, what a beautiful place to stay!” We (2 couples in our 40's) stayed here for 4 nights at the end of Feb 2015. From the minute we were picked up from the airport and driven to our villa until we left, we had the best experience. Iluh (who met us when we arrived) was gorgeous. Helpful, friendly, full of information and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. Wyan, who made us beautiful breakfast on 3 of the mornings and made sure we had everything we needed for the Sunday morning breakfast, was wonderful. The gardens were amazing. Not a leaf on the ground and everything left perfect. The villa is everything that the pictures show. The toilet pressure is low but nothing that the handheld hose can't sort out and the showers are hot and water is a plenty. It is a tropical area so don't forget the bug spray but the villa also has some there for you to use. We too did lose power in a storm one night but the villa had plenty of candles for us to use and you're on holidays so it's not that big a deal. All the villa's were in the same boat so we just sat back and waited for it to pass. There is a big fridge were you can put drinks or anything else you need so we were fine. The villa is situated a little out of Seminyak, it is walkable but only costs about $4 for a taxi so, again, not a big deal. The quiet you get from staying a bit away is worth far more than $4! The contact we received from Manuela was great and I couldn't recommend this villa highly enough. Can't wait to stay here again one day. Thanks again to everyone for making it a great holiday.

“A little piece of Paradise” Beautiful villa set in equally beautiful surroundings, the ideal place to just sit and watch the world go by. Spend six days here split between just sitting around chilling out and being a bit more adventurous seeing the local attractions. Made the housekeeper was a wonderful cook and person who it seemed nothing was too much for. Gede was also always on hand to offer suggestions on possible excursions and organise them for you with his drivers Kadek and Putou who were also excellent. Then on top of that there was the gardener and night time security guard just to make sure everything was perfect. What more could you want?

“Wonderful experience” We had a wonderful week here, Detu (our butler) looked after every need for us, meals that we had here were superb. Travelling around Bali ourselves meant that location was not a problem. The villa had every thing we needed to enjoy our stay here and we hope to return here soon. “A Balinese village getaway, spotlessly clean and well appointed, and a short walk to shops and restaurants.” We stayed at Kupa Kupa Villa for one week in March 2014 and really enjoyed it. It was our first trip to Bali, and we opted for the airport pick up. It was punctual, friendly and good value, and far easier than trying to find our own way. As indicated on the Tripadvisor listing, the paths accessing the villa may not be suitable for the physically challenged, but our 60-something legs didn’t find them a problem. Actually the walks to and from the villa provided an interesting experience of Balinese village life. We stayed in the upper level villa. It was well appointed and spotlessly cleaned daily by the caretakers who also made a good breakfast. All the furniture including the double bed was in top condition. The terrace was a great place to relax and it offered nice rural views. The villa’s pool is small but deep and more than adequate for relief from the heat after a trip out to the many surrounding sights, or a walk up from Candidasa. The warungs, restaurants and shops along the main road and beachfront in Candidasa offer plenty of choice and a range of standards and costs. If we didn’t feel like walking too far, the German/Indonesian café at the bottom of the access stairs provided good meals and snacks. Overall, a great place to stay and relax away from the frenetic life of places like Kuta and Ubud. Good value too. Recommended.

“Paradise” Beautiful island and beautiful villa. The staff were really friendly and the "in-house" cooking was delicious, all made with local fresh ingredients. Plently of space in the villa which was always kept really clean. The outside bathrooms were a real novelty! The village is really un-developed. No hassle at all from the usual traders on the beach and not a tourist shop in sight - brilliant. The snorkeling was amazing (even better than the Great Barrier Reef) and the staff at Reef Seen are so passionate about the work they have been doing with the coral, the fish and the turtles. The staff there are full of information and very friendly. Guided walks around the interior of the islands showed us all the wonderful fruit and vegetables that are grown on the island; no wonder so many of the locals have never left the island. We were a group of friends all in our mid fifties but would be great for groups of any age wanting a bit of peace and quiet. All in all a wonderful, memorable and relaxing holiday that we would certainly recomend to anyone wanting to get away from it all and have a bit of luxury at the same time.

“Great staff, great location, great pool!” My sisters and I shared the Shikumen villa with private pool and wifi for 8 days in June. What a find! Awesome staff, beautiful villa with great amenities and short walk to shops and beach.
