“Centrally Located with charm” Ann was very helpful and prompt to respond to any questions prior to traveling. The apartment is as pictured. I felt very secure there and had all the amenities of staying in the heart of Playa del Carmen without the cost of a hotel. Ann was flexible with booking over New Year's Eve, while other places required a longer stay. The apartment was quaint, clean, and cool. We enjoyed our time there and would visit again.

“Loveliest, most relaxing holiday we've had.” We arrived to a beautiful building surrounded by flowers, cactus, trees and scrubs. Our condo had a very private terrace just off the pool and we enjoyed our breakfast and coffee there every morning and wine in the evening. The Condo has everything you would have at home, there are even books in the book shelves. The bed was comfy, with a terrace off the bedroom, so air conditioning wasn't even used. The two bathrooms were a treat, and shower was wonderful.Having an ongoing supply of water was really nice so I made fresh lime water daily to have in the fridge. They thought of everything,a list of suggestions for shopping, restaurants, which we tried them all, and were great, and found new ones, but loved the Pirates" fish restaurant" around the corner to the right, and up the block The Generala, is fairly new, just to the left as you leave the gate in the next block., lovely lady Muriel to greet you Best pizza and pasta just a few blocks toward the beach.and don't forget the ice cream shop. Playa is such a fun place. Then to come home to the Arena Blanca after a day out and be greeted by Miguel, the night security was such a good feeling of total trust that everything would be wonderful in the morning., and it always was!! Nadia, the manager was there for all your requests, Louis, is the reason for the beauty and tranquility, Ester and the girls, make it a true vacation of relaxation. Our condo included everything and a roof top terrace which we both loved. A plunge pool to cool off in, have a beer in and enjoy the sun, and a palapa, with table and chairs, for the shade. A quiet place for just the two of us to sleep, read, suntan, and enjoy the surrounding beauty. We cant' wait to go back, as it was so hard to leave.....They made it an inviting home away from home. “Awesome Rooftop Condo in Perfect Playa location!” I had rented a condo one other time in Playa and I have to say the one thing that made this rental better was the personal response of the owner himself. Not only was the condo a great place but the owner made sure that the rental process was just as great. Ron was extremely helpful and supplied us with everything we needed to have the very best vacation experience. I would definitely rent Casa Dorothea again! The location of the condo is in the heart of Playa. Within walking distance to so many places including the Mega grocery store and Walmart. We had a private rooftop which is another huge asset. An awesome experience all around!

“A Gem which I highly recommend...” Dear Shawn, I first visited Playa at the age of 18 in 1974 when it was just a fishing village. Over the past 40 years I have easily logged 200 plus trips since it is just a 5 hour drive from my home in Belize. Anyway, I just wanted you to know how much Nadine and I enjoyed your Condo. We have stayed at Condo's all over Playa and 4 different Condos at El Faro and yours is absolutely our favorite. We love the location and I must complement you on the Condo's amenities: Wifi, Vonage and a fully stocked kitchen besides being well maintained. Angie and the staff were also on the ball without being overwhelming. For those who don't know EL FARO sits right on the Beach in Playa and is one of the best locations, just a block from 5th Avenue where the first thing you run into is Starbucks for all you Coffee lovers like me. Book this property. It is a gem...

“Playa Paradise” We spent three weeks in this beautiful, spacious unit, in a perfect location. It is right on the beach, next to Wicky's Beach Club, which has very afordable lunches. We like being on the ground floor because there's usually more outdoor space and it's usually easier to get to the pool and beach. This was truly the case here. The unit had a huge patio and an extra patio one step up from the normal sized one with an abundance of patio furniture - then, only down a few steps to the pool. The kitchen was large and mostly well-stocked, with purified water delivered at checkin and throughout our stay. The furnishings were comfortable and attractive. There was an extra den-like room at the entrance, for extra sleeping or quiet time, if needed. Both baths were good sized, one with a washer/dryer combo. Daily maid service was provived by very friendly staff. There isn't much to improve on in this unit. We did have problems with the phone and internet connection, but we were in Mexico and it did take Telmex a week to get to us. I would only add a few things - a few more pans for cooking, and one more chair in the living room. There was one couch and one chair in the living room of the two bedroom unit which slept 6. Also, which we found strange, there was a curtain which could cover the patio door but nothing to cover the side windows in the living room, kitchen and den, which overlooked a walkway to the pool. There were shades which you could use during the day, but you could see through them at night. We ended up using towels to cover the windows at night. We did have ants in the kitchen, on the counters - possibly because there are plants and lots of dirt next to the kitchen wall. Lots of mosquitos and no-see-ums when we were there.

“Great location, great views, great condo” Five of us just returned from a week in Luna Encantada C-1 and I can't say anything but positives about the experience. The condo is just as advertised and even better than the pictures show. The location of the condo is perfect, just half of a block from the center of Fifth Avenue and right on the water. We loved being next door to Fusion, the food and drinks are as good as any in Playa del Carmen and the live music in the evenings was great. Jorge and the other guys who work on the beach were great when it came to setting up our chairs and umbrellas in the morning and running for drinks and food throughout the day. They work hard for their money and we always tipped them well at the end of every day. The housekeeping every other day was a real plus for us and they kept the place spotless. The highlight of the week was when our son got engaged to his girlfriend at dinner Wednesday evening! It made the rest of the week even more perfect!!! About the only negative thing I can say about C-1 was the shower heads were partially clogged but it was a minor inconvenience that could be fixed with a little bit of vinegar overnight. All in all, this was a perfect vacation for us all and we can't wait to go back again.

“Fantastic!” My wife and I stayed three nights in unit 216. The service (from the maids to the front desk attendents)at this condo was exceptional. I think 216 is one of the best units this place has to offer. Each night we would sit on our private balcony overlooking the beautifully landscaped courtyard and pool and talk about how we never want to leave. The unit is very clean and nicely decorated. The location cannot be beat. The beach is a one block walk and Fifth avenue with its countless restaurants and local shops is one block in the other direction. This is truly a great place to spend a vacation. My wife and I are already planning a return trip!
