“Felt so at home” This is a wonderful base if you are visiting Edinburgh. The apartment is beautifully decorated, comfortable and fantastically located. We loved looking out onto Edinburgh Castle. “Really nice stay in Edinburgh” My friends and I stayed a week at the flat on New Year's Eve. We choose this location because it was central, we were not disappointed: 5-10min walk to Princes Street and Waverley station (citylink stop). 15min walk to go on top of Calton Hill and enjoy the view. Shops and pubs nearby. The flat was really well fournished (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, towels, soap... all you need for a serenely stay) We also enjoyed the great street party. The hogmanay fireworks was really good as well. If you like dancing don't hesitate for a Ceilidh experience. The teannaich band were awesome! Enjoy a stay in Edinburgh in a really nice place. Good value!

“New years stay” our family of 8 stayed in broom park for 4 nights over the new years period. the property is very spacious for a large group well equipped and kept immaculate, we really enjoyed our stay the owner brought us champagne on new years eve which was a nice touch I would recommend this property. Just a short distance from city centre located close to a golf course so ideal for golfers. pubs and shops are within walking distance.

“Location location location!” I am not the type to usually write reviews, but on returning from a special Mother's Day weekend at this apartment I need to make an exception. Not only is the location better than any of Edinburgh's top hotels, the quality of the decor, size and amenities provided are superb. Think old glamour, high ceilings, enormous comfy beds and original shutters to help you get a great night's sleep whilst still being in the thick if it on The Royal Mile. Lots of great bars and restaurants literally on the doorstep, or all the comforts of home if you fancy a night in. We have had a fabulous weekend - I couldn't recommend this apartment enough if you want to visit Edinburgh.

“Very comfortable apartment” We had a great stay at Lochend Park View apartment in Sept 2013 for 3 nights. The service from Slawomir was very good-he was very friendly and extremely helpful. The apartment was very well equipped and overlooks a park which was great for the kids. The bus stop is not too far from the apartment and you are in the centre of Edinburgh in minutes. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again if we returned to Edinburgh.

“Great location close to Royal Mile” The flat was so conveniently close to the Royal Mile. Just mere steps to everything you want or need. Blair Street was a bit noisy at night with nearby pubs but the bedrooms are in the back of the flat which helped with noise reduction. The rooms are all nice in size and clean. The entry into the building is a bit sad and the view from the bedrooms is not appealing. But overall the flat was wonderful for our family of three. Dave met us at the flat and showed us everything we needed for our stay. Dave was also very kind to send us our IPad which we accidently left. The booking process was easy and communication prompt. We felt the flat was a great value and we enjoyed relaxing there with the fireplace on a cold evening. We would most definitely recommend this flat.

“Beautiful, affordable and well-equipped flar” The flat is really tidy and well equipped.With the supermarket just around the corner and the city centre in such short walking distance, we feel like we really made an excellent decision, when choosing this flat. “excellent accomadation” Would like to thank Sav who kept in touch with myself at all time's as soon as we booked this apartment, We booked it for 9 girls (all family) to collect my daughters wedding dress and travelled from aberdeen. I had looked at hotel's in Edinburgh and to be honest it worked out same price So we decided to book here as the pictures in the website was just what we needed. When we arrived Sav was there to meet us (lovely woman) with a big smile this place is spotless and large and everything you need. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a clean spotless and Luxury apartment, and that's not even saying about the garden outside would be lovely in summer months Thanks again Sav your a star

“Perfect accomodation to experience Edinburgh” Fantastic accomodation - modern, contemporary, quality feel, clean, and very homely. It offers good local amenities (Sainsbury Local was below the flat) and is a good location and base to explore the city on foot. The accomodation also offered underground parking though the pass took a little getting used to. Overall I would highly recommend this self catering accomodation. It suits stays for all - families, couples or group of friends and would definately stay there again.

“A calm and comfortable retreat near the centre of Edinburgh with” Murphy's Place is a spacious, modern, comfortable, well-equipped, spotlessly clean and convenient place to spend a few days or a week visiting Edinburgh. The location, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and attractions is ideal. The Brougton area is lively and atractive. The personal attention from the owner Edele was really welcoming. I would really recommend a stay here. We would certainly return. It was surprisngly peaceful considering how near the centre the apartment is. Lovely place.

“Location just doesn't get any better” We stayed for 3 nights in early June 2017. The location of The Castle Snug is absolutely perfect for visiting the Royal Mile. You are steps from everything. Brian responded quickly to all inquiries and sent valuable information on how to get to the apartment (do watch the U Tube video - you'll be glad you did when you first look for the apartment in the "close" which is a tiny alley). If you know the area the apartment is a 9 minute walk to the airport bus that takes you to and from the airport, and it's a 12 minute walk from the train station. (This was our first visit to Edinburgh and we aren't that good with directions, and it only took us 20 minutes to find the apartment from the train station the first time.) It's right on the Royal Mile, so there are abundant restaurants and attractions just steps away. The apartment space is used very creatively and the name "Castle Snug" is perfect. There are grocery stores (a Tesco and a Sainsbury) about 10 or 15 minutes away. Cheap and good restaurants are near the grocery stores if you don't want to spend a lot for restaurant food right on the Royal Mile, and they are just around the block from some pricier restaurant options. My only complaint, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the apartment is immediately next door to a pub. On two of the three nights there was no noise from the pub, but on Monday evening there was a live DJ and we felt like we had front row seating right in the pub. You could hear everything as though you were sitting right in the pub. However, on Saturday and Sunday nights there was no noise (even from the Royal Mile which is about 10 steps away). I would definitely stay here and I can recommend it to anyone wanting a quaint and snug apartment right on the Royal Mile. Just check to see if there is anything special happening at the pub next door if night noise bothers you. Brian let us store our luggage in the apartment early because the apartment didn't have guests the night before. This was extremely handy. There are detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment, how to access the apartment key, and how to access the internet. Wi-fi worked flawlessly and was fast. The apartment was spacious enough for 2 adults and I think it would work fine for 2 adults and 2 pre-teens. I think it would be crowded for 4 adults. I loved the special touches - the candles and the mirror on the wall that reflected the stone walls. Someone thought out the layout well. I will have fond memories of Castle Snug.
