“Amazing Villal & Vacation!!” Rarely do I ever take the time to write reviews of my hotels, villas or destinations but the team behind Villa alma Rosa is incredible and deserve a shout out! I'm an avid visitor to the Riviera Maya, Akumal & Tulum and was looking for a villa to help ring in my birthday with some friends. The communication between Marina at Riviera Maya Haciendas was incredible - quick response, courteous and happy to accommodate every need and request. Everything was organized for me according to my needs prior to arrival i.e. grocery shopping, food menus, villa prestocking, flowers, maps etc. If you're looking for a villa rental with a true "concierge" type of service then alma Rosa is right up your alley. When we arrived the house, I was really impressed at the care that goes into alma Rosa. The furnishings, details, color and character are all tastefully so done and warm that it really adds to the experience. The outdoor area/pool/beach are beautiful and well maintained, this is where we really spent most of our days/nights. The bedrooms/bathrooms are very beautiful with amazing beds/linens and furnishings. I've rented quite a few villas in the Riviera Maya and a lot of them feel cheap and have poor construction etc. Villa alma Rosa is a real home! I briefly met the owner when I first arrived who was lovely but wanted to get out of our hair so we enjoyed our time. The chef Carlos and his wife/housekeeper Jafet are the 2 sweetest people on the planet and to be honest are part of the sole reason that I would rent alma Rosa again. The food, attention and love along with hard work that they gave us every day was simply amazing and I was so grateful to have them there with us. They felt like family when we left! Overall I will absolutely be returning to alma Rosa soon but at the same time don't want to spread the word - I think this is the best kept secret & villa in the area! “Fantastic Family Getaway” Our family of 8 were originally booked to stay at El Faro during Spring Break, but after some double booking by El Faro's management company, we lost our reservation. However, the manager at El Faro helped us find Luna Encantada. We were leary because we didn't know anything about the Luna. I have to say we were thrilled once we got there. The hotel is clean, well maintained. The pool was heated (which the grandkids loved compared to El Faro's freezing pool the year before.) There was actually a beach-the sand washes away every year in certain areas in Playa and this year some beach-front hotels were actually ocean-front. So we had lovely beach, plenty of beach chairs, 2 beach servers who were just wonderful-I wish I could remember their names! Our apartment had 3 bedrooms with a rooftop that had hammocks, chairs, tables and most important-a BBQ grill. We spent several nights cooking at home, visiting and just spending time together. We worried that 8 people and 2 bathrooms would be a problem, but it never was. We will definitely stay here again. Luna Encantada is centrally located and a wonderful place to stay. Oh, and the management company, Playa Beach Getaways is incredibly organized. We had all the information we needed. If you've never been to Playa they send you so much information on what to expect, what to do, and where to go you'll feel completely prepared. Go and have fun!

“Wonderful Vacation!” My family of 6 stayed in Luna Encantada C3 for one week and had the best vacation ever! The unit was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. The men at the front gate and the beach were extremely friendly and very eager to help with bags or putting up a beach umbrella. The location is absolutely perfect, with an amazing beach and great dining just steps away. We would love to return!

“Fantasic villa, fantastic staff, fantastic stay” Enormous villa with beautiful bedrooms and gorgeous indoor/outdoor living area opening onto a pool and tethered to the unique local landscape by the surrounding vegetation and a spring-fed rock lagoon. But what makes this villa special is the friendly staff, for whom no courtesty or comfort was too small to overlook.

“The best & most picturesque beachfront hacienda on the Riviera M” My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Hacienda Kukulkan during our Mexico trips, and consider it by far, the most gorgeous private home on the beautiful Mayan coastline! So look no further, you have found your dream vacation home in the Caribbean! From the minute we walked in, it completely took our breath away! The front of the house opens to a big tennis court on the left. There's even a fully equipped gym with panoramic views of the ocean, all which gave us the added motivation to work out on our vacation! ? The center of the house has an open air courtyard with a cute pond, and pretty patio furniture, and all rooms are built around it, some with spectacular ocean views. We spent many a night doing dinners under the moonlight and breakfast when we wanted to just laze in. The maids did a wonderful job with cooking & housekeeping, going out of the way to make sure we were comfortable. What is so impressive is that every room and every piece of furniture is custom designed! We spent hours in the fabulous pool overlooking the ocean, with music playing in surround sound throughout the villa. The location was awesome! Puerto aventuras surrounding a beautiful dolphin marina is convenient, close to all the night life & shopping at Playa and also the fabulous Tulum beach ruins. We felt safe and secure in this gated community! 3 years later, we were back to get married & the ambience was surreal! The courtyard, steps from the ocean, was perfect for our Reception, with Cocktail Hour by the pool. We hosted our family there, and the 8 bedrooms were more than sufficient to accommodate all. Our wedding was a huge success and our guests cannot stop talking about the gorgeous hacienda! We highly recommend Hacienda Kukulkan as your abode, to enjoy paradise in style! Like us, you would go back!! We are thankful to the owners (Rick & Sandy Spell), Marina of Riviera Maya Haciendas & Eddie, and maids like Mariana who made our stay there so memorable!

“Great accommodations for a really vacation spot!” I had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Dodo Residence during my stay. It is centrally located which makes toe whole city accessible by foot, bike or taxi. I would recommend the Dodo to anyone!

“Awesome experience” We had a wonderful time at the condo. The service and the staff there is excellent and the condo is very luxurious. We enjoyed every moment and took advantage to take a dip in the ocean every morning. It's so great, that the beach is only steps away. “Super fabulous, very happy family...” The property and villa is exceptional. Very well decorated and has the best vibe for entertaining. Mimi was our concierge and was very helpful and welcoming. This was a surprise trip for my family. All they knew before hand was cancun airport. I had pre arranged night time chef service. That was a+. we had 15 people who were all accomadated for at ease. Anna Paulo was our main chef. She made beautiful desserts! We also had Martin as a daytime bartender, he made sure everyone had a beverage from the dock to the pool to the garden. Good stuff :) The family enjoyed taking the golf carts into the dolphin area with shops and stores. We rented them for the week. The villa had them ready when we arrived in the driveway. Best thing ever was the night entertainment. Worth every penny . Water drums and fire dancers. 1 hour show. So amazing. You feel the drums and the water color splashing about with heat from the fire ...it's quite impressive, must see! I'm already making plans for the next trip back. We felt safe. Had everything a large group needed. Very accomadating. Playa Del Carmen was pretty close by by taxi. Bring water shoes if you go in the ocean. My next trip will include a tequila tasting at villa for one of the nights and a day trip to the salt caves and everything else the same :) Super Fabulous Vacation @ Hacienda Del Mar!! “Unique High-End Private Beachfront Escape” Casa Vela is a beautifully designed "beach house", with all the amenities and toys one would want for a Playa del Carmen getaway. It feels like you are in your own hotel. The dining area is a huge open deck with wide views of the beach and the jungle. Literally on the beach.

“Akumal Paradise Rental” We shared this beautiful home with two other families. Even with 6 adults and 7 teenagers, we never felt crowded in Villa Zen del Mar. The home is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Rosa prepared delicious fruit with breakfast every morning, but all of us agreed that Rosa's daily guacamole was the trip favorite! Easy walking distance to the town of Akumal, security and staff on site, chef prepared meals, all made for a perfect vacation! There was something for everyone on this trip! Villa Zen del Mar was everything we could have hoped for and more!

“Great stay in Playacar” We stayed at Casa Price for a week in February 2014, and loved it. We have visited the Playa del Carmen area previously and can't beat the location in PlayaCar. Quick access to the powdery white sandy beach and the beautiful Caribbean, Casa Price has everything we needed. Great views from the open living area on the second floor, the balcony and the roof top terrace. Satellite TV, internet access and laundry were all a bonus and made our trip more enjoyable. Rosa was a terrific in every way; she cooked, cleaned and looked after all the details in the house so everything was perfect. Everything was as promised! Thanks for sharing Casa Price.

“Location, Comfort & Style in Playa Del Carmen!” This incredibly spacious condominium rental is worth every penny and more! The location is fabulous, right on the beach and a short walk to 5th ave. and the Cozumel Ferry. The unit is decorated with a style like no other I've seen in rentals in the area, with a charming Mexican theme throughout and an abundance of unique decor. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, another rarity! The kitchen is gourmet and modern and so much fun to cook in! My favorite part is the huge balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the beautiful pool area. This is by far my favorite place to stay in Playa and I feel right at home every time I'm in this unit.

“LOVE THE VIEW” My friends and I stayed at this condo for 2 weeks. The location is great and the view is amazing. We could snorkel and swim off the pier. For the most part the water was calm and the fish plentiful (the bad storm up north affected the weather a few days). It was easy to book and the owners were very prompt in their replies. We got to meet the owners on our arrival and they gave us loads of information about the island, places to see, things to do, where to eat etc. Having travelled to Mexico and rented condo's several times, in Puerto Vallarta, I was impressed with how quiet it was here. No barking dogs, no roosters. We had to contact Yasmin, the property manager, a few times and she was prompt and helpful. All in all a great holiday.

“Beautiful vacation at Casa de Colores” First off, the home is superb and wonderfully situated at the north end of Half Moon Bay with sweeping views of the water from nearly every room in the house. Great staff and amenities, this home has everything to make your vacation in akumal special and enjoyable. There are a few dining options are within walking distance and everything the town has to offer is only a short bike ride away, however we also loved staying at home to cook on occasion as you can't beat the view! While you can snorkel outside your door in Half Moon Bay, walk to Yal-Ku lagoon, hang out at the main beach in town or take day trips, I think the beauty of Casa De Colores is that you don't feel like you have to leave. Relaxing on the deck or by the pool with a good book is a great way to spend a day. This home would be good for families.

“Lux accomadations and amazing views from every room!” My family stayed in the Penninsula Grand resort in July. The condo B4 was well appointed with spacious rooms, a kitchen stocked with housewares and a flat screen TV. Multiple bathrooms made post-pool showering seamless for many adults planning a night out on the Cozumel town! Though really why would you need to leave the building - with a quiet and relaxing pool, pool table, and chef serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Relax by the pool with a rum punch and perhaps the best guacamole you've ever had!!! Highly recommended and will surely go back!

“Great Place!” My husband and I, had a great time at this condo. It was well maintained and perfect for our family. Having the pool close by on the ground floor was perfect for my kids and Claudia at the reception was incredibly helpful. I really appreciated all the help Tony provided prior to the trip. We referenced his helpful tips and recommendations throughout the trip and it really enhanced our vacation experience. We would definitely stay here again.

“Gorgeous place and views, outstanding service” We spent a week at the villa with family to celebrate our wedding on the beach. The views are just gorgeous, it rained quite a lot, but It made it our stay and wedding ceremony even more memorable. Great backgrounds for the pictures. The villa is kind of isolated from the crowds but very close to the beach and the hotel, so we could go to a few hotel evening performances and enjoy the sand beach. The fact that the villa is not on the beach did not bother us at all, on the contrary, we loved it, very dramatic and more natural views. The owners are great hosts and keep villa and amenities in very good shape. The cleaning service was excellent. Mexican cooks were great not only as cooks but also very nice people with very welcoming and kind personalities. It was a good idea to have cooking services, very reasonably priced and delicious. Overall, the experience met and exceeded our expectations. We definitely recommend Brisa Caribe for all the reasons stated above and for Doug and Shelly being very helpful in organizing this trip (cooking services, taxi, etc.). We would also recommend this place for a small intimate wedding ceremony, our wedding was more beautiful than we expected and Doug recommended us a good wedding planner who made it even more perfect! “Awesome place!!” Clean, closed to the Beach, quiet, spacious...Perfect!! Highly recommend it!!

“Playa Paradise” We spent three weeks in this beautiful, spacious unit, in a perfect location. It is right on the beach, next to Wicky's Beach Club, which has very afordable lunches. We like being on the ground floor because there's usually more outdoor space and it's usually easier to get to the pool and beach. This was truly the case here. The unit had a huge patio and an extra patio one step up from the normal sized one with an abundance of patio furniture - then, only down a few steps to the pool. The kitchen was large and mostly well-stocked, with purified water delivered at checkin and throughout our stay. The furnishings were comfortable and attractive. There was an extra den-like room at the entrance, for extra sleeping or quiet time, if needed. Both baths were good sized, one with a washer/dryer combo. Daily maid service was provived by very friendly staff. There isn't much to improve on in this unit. We did have problems with the phone and internet connection, but we were in Mexico and it did take Telmex a week to get to us. I would only add a few things - a few more pans for cooking, and one more chair in the living room. There was one couch and one chair in the living room of the two bedroom unit which slept 6. Also, which we found strange, there was a curtain which could cover the patio door but nothing to cover the side windows in the living room, kitchen and den, which overlooked a walkway to the pool. There were shades which you could use during the day, but you could see through them at night. We ended up using towels to cover the windows at night. We did have ants in the kitchen, on the counters - possibly because there are plants and lots of dirt next to the kitchen wall. Lots of mosquitos and no-see-ums when we were there.
