“Great stay at ash Pot Barn” I stayed at ash Pot Barn with 6 other ladies. We had a great time. We couldnt fault our stay in anyway. We would definatley return, especially in Summer as it has a great BBQ area overlooking the Fells, But was cosy in the winter when we went. We walked to the Fat Lamb pub which took about 1 hour 10 mins. Secluded location but perfect for relaxing and staying in, great kitchen/living area. Bedrooms spacious and everywhere very clean.

“Lovely cottage ideally placed for walking in the Dales.” Cottage well equipped, spotlessly clean and cosy. Home made marmalade and fresh eggs were a treat. Hawes only 10 minutes away. Lots of walks to suit everyone. Railway line opposite was a novelty. Owners very easy to get on with and friendly - the file in the cottage which tells you everything you need to know is worth its weight in gold! We will definately return.

“Perfect” The best cottage I have stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing with underfloor heating in the bathroom, lovely comfy beds, a pretty garden and lots lots more. All this together with the sunshine and the beautiful dales what more can you ask for. I will definitely be going back.

“Peaceful location, stunning views” Owner very helpful, cottage comfortable and clean, location well off the beaten track with stunning views and very peaceful - the stars at night are a brilliant display and our dog enjoyed his stay there as well!

“Recreation, pure nature and millions of sheeps.” A nice and cosy cottage. Welcome-eggs. The cottage is small but enough for 2 adults. It is not easy to find if you are not from Great Britain. We missed the small road two times. But when we reached the "goal" it was, for us, typical English, nice and kind. We had a wonderful week with good weather and not so good weather. And I had never seen so much sheeps in my live.

“Tranquil pleasant cottage in picturesque surroundings.” Comfortable accommodation in quiet backwater.Plenty of walks in the fells and around the nearby reservoirs, and plenty of attractions in the district.Even the weather[including rain and snow] didn't detract from the pleasant holiday.

WOOD COTTAGE, romantic, country holiday cottage in Kendal, Ref 3640

Kendal house

“Cottage for Two” The cottage was very comfortable. The little extras ie flowers, wine, bread, milk etc provided by the owners made it even more welcoming. We had a very enjoyable week despite the ever changing weather. We would go again.

“Fabulous facilities in a beautiful setting.” Helpful owners who provided a lovely welcome and useful information pack. Lots of additional extras at this property. Very close to village centre. Only draw back is located on a major road.

“Tranquil haven” A friendly, welcoming, but inobtrusive couple. The cottage is very well supplied with good quality furnishings, everything you need to feel at home is here. Warm, and homely, the master bedroom is all you would hope for in a high quality hotel. With the icing on the cake being the unspoilt views over rolling hills, the cattle, sheep and fowl as your neighbours. Ideally located for both the Lakes and Dales. I will certainly recommend Tethera, and it's accompanying cottages, and plan to return.

Price per night from

$260

“Truly lovely” I can't recommend this cottage enough. If you like remote and comfortable this is for you. Not only is the cottage ideal with very good facilities and furnishings but the owners are warm and freindly without being in any way intrusive. The setting is perfect with views that change with the weather and time of day. We all loved it.

In the middle of nowhere..

This was exactly what we wanted, plenty of room, warm, isolated in this wonderful part of Cumbria! Owners live next door but were very discreet, much appreciated. Lacked coat pegs for anoraks etc and perhaps a DVD player when weather bad as it was for us for a week! … see more

right grand

remote, quiet, brilliant views. Only quibble woud be the the woood for the log burner was a bit wet and it was never very hot in the kitchen. Might sound minor but we always look for a real fire when we go away so we were a bit disappointed. Not been to the area before - liked it, liked the people and great walking Thought it reasonable value for money as these things gosee more
