“This is a gorgeous and spacious lake home with plenty of amentities for adults and child. 5 Stars!!!!” This property is on a gorgeous location on top of a small hill. The view of the lake from the house is breathtaking. Our group enjoyed our stay thoroughly and we took full advantage of the amenities in the property like out door fire pit, hammock, boats/kayak allowed by the home-owner to be used by us. The house has enough space--we were a group of 9 people and the space was ample however there is only one shower so that might be a limitation. the kitchen was very spacious and had all the stuff needed for cooking. It would have been nice if there was a functional grill for using outdoors--the one that was there was kind of old and did not work very well. There was some strange odor in the dishwasher but that might be because of its limited usage. Overall, this place is highly recommended for vacation stay. The owners were really nice and friendly and the view and location is absolutely spectacular! My Response Thank you for your kind words. I do want to say that we have replaced the outdoor grill. I'm sorry you had trouble with it. I checked the dishwater also but could not smell or see anything in the trap. We disconnected the plumbing to examine and clean. Whatever the odor was, it's gone. “awesome beautiful place” I can't say enough about this. Place, perfect I guess Serene, peaceful,beautiful, quiet. Djuna the owner is Sweet and very efficient and provides every detail. The Whole are is perfect Oct a getaway, things to do places To shop,eat or just cuddle in with a fire. We will Definetly be returning as soon as we can.:)))

“Excellent villa in a beautiful location” We were three families holidaying in this wonderful villa with our children, ages 9-16. The kids loved the pool and us adults enjoyed soaking up the Umbrian sun in the well-maintained gardens. We explored the local area-Montepulciano, Isla Maggiore and Castiglione del Lago (market Wednesday am). We also did Siena on the train. Would have liked to have done more,but a week is not enough. Katia was such a welcoming host,nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much Katia, hope to see you in a year or two!

“Unique and beautiful...heavy on the character...” I'm a frequent visitor of the 'ette. I love the location (right off the main drag) but enjoy its solitude (wooded median...long drive way). Its sort of like a studio apartment in the woods. its close to many of the wineries, The Red Newt and Stone Cat restaurants and a gas/quick mart. When Wine tasting its easy to swing by and change clothes/use the facilities/take a nap (comfy beds) and unload your recent purchases. The owners are friendly and helpful. The grounds are spacious with a nice walking trail. For what you get for the price its really a great secret. So why share a secret? I'm not there long enough or frequent enough to keep it to myself...like a cool song, I shouldn't be singing it alone (especially if you've heard my voice).

“Idyllic” Beautiful and tranquil setting. Wonderful accommodation, we stayed in the Rouge gite. Attractive decor and excellent amenities to enable a carefree and relaxing holiday. Amazing countryside and the surrounding villages are interesting and picturesque.

“Amazing get away!!” This house is beautiful!! The view is incredible and the amount of space throughout the entire house is awesome!! My friends and I stayed here for a weekend away and got just that! While the cell service is pretty bad, it allowed us to spend time together and enjoy nature! There was plenty of space for everyone! Donald took care of everything, even providing the house with basic necessities that some of my group forgot! Donald replies very fast to your questions and concerns!! Overall, an amazing trip and a beautiful house!

“Relaxing vacation” We vacationed here for the first two weeks of July. Bill and Sandy were fabulous hosts. They were attentive to our needs and generous with their time taking us out in their boat to view the fireworks. The space is decorated tastefully and was clean and welcoming. We spent almost all of our time outdoors enjoying the sun and water. We ate most of our meals outside on the patio. The only thing that could have made it any better would have been to have a screened in area so that we could have stayed out later at night after the mosquitos' came out. We are planning on returning next year.

“Best Vacation!” I asked each of my kids to sum our stay at O'Cottage and they each yelled "Best vacation!" My wife agreed! It was great to take a break from the whirlwind of kids' activites to spend a week here in peace and quiet. The location on the lake is easily one of the best. We loved waking up to the water and going to bed after the campfire dwindled. The house is spacious and tidy and the outdoor shower is a treat. The owner is quick to respond to questions and the booking process was easy. Would I recommend this place to a friend? No! I want it all for myself! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with my family!

“Good Times at Kenslynn Cottages” For the past 10 years, we have stayed at Kenslynn Cottages in Bancroft. The folks who rent the cottages are wonderful people and try very hard to accommodate your every need. The most important feature of the cottage is Trout Farrady Lake. Very clean fresh lake water. When the sun shines or if it's cloudy, you'll appreciate mother nature at its best. The cottages are well appointed, and the kids will be kept busy indoors or outside. I've enjoyed every summer, and consider this a great destination to enjoy a specatular part of northern Ontario. The key thing to remember is you're at a cottage, not the Hilton. Eric, Glynnis, Lynne and Murray are wonderful hosts and take care of your every need. So come up and visit Bancroft, because it's a jewel that lifts our spirits every summer. The kids will appreciate it and remember the experience for years to come.
