The property is light and airy with an English country feel and enjoys south facing view across open fields. The sitting room has a wood burner, digital TV and DVD player with double doors leading into a conservatory dining area.

Around the Property

Set in just under three acres of tranquil surroundings, Manor Stables began its life as accommodation to Sybil Seal and Moonshine, the horses belonging to Manor Farm, once forming part of the Ancaster Estate – now occupied by the owners. You are welcome to stretch your legs and roam at will around the grounds and paddock path with its many trees and views of Haconby’s medieval church and perch on one of the number of strategically placed garden seats should you deem anything worthy of a pause.

Separate entrance to Manor Stables is enjoyed over a small patio area with table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy fresh free range eggs for breakfast or sit and have a drink in the evening.

Once inside, the carefully chosen antiques effortlessly combine with a muted backdrop and sumptuous furnishings to create a luxury self-catering home stay you’ll be reluctant to leave. The accommodation is all on the ground floor. Coat hooks and shoe box are provided just inside the entrance door.

One king sized double bedroom and bathroom

The French antique-style king size bed is adorned with the finest quality luxury linens, duck-down duvet and pillows which all ensure a blissful night’s sleep. En-suite shower room provides a spacious walk-in shower with towels provided.

Kitchen, sitting room and conservatory

A fully equipped kitchen offers granite surfaces, full size fridge with small freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, Bosch oven, hob and the Award winning Krushr compactor along with the full range of cooking items, crockery, glasses etc. A cold filtered water and hot steaming tap ensures you can make that quick “cuppa” without waiting for the kettle to boil. Tumbledryer, ironing board and iron are available for use.

Off the kitchen is the living room with French doors. Watch the TV or DVD player from the comfortable sofa or simply enjoy the cosy atmosphere created by the dancing flames of the Clearview Wood burning stove. A selection of DVDs and games are available too. From the living room double doors open into a light filled conservatory which provides a charming dining area with table and seating for four. Views to the south and garden views to the rear of the conservatory can be enjoyed whilst dining.

The Manor Stables has been recently converted into a private luxury holiday cottage. The former stables situated in Lincolnshire, in the village of Haconby just north of Bourne are conveniently located to provide an excellent base to relax and explore all that this part of Lincolnshire and nearby Rutland has to offer.

Whatever your interest there is plenty to see and do. Ideally situated for visiting Burghley House, also the home of Burghley Horse Trials and the historic town of Stamford named “The best place to live in Britain” by the Sunday Times.

Known as Bomber County, Lincolnshire is also home to the fantastic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight based at RAF Coningsby. If you are lucky you may well see the Spitfire, Lancaster or Hurricane pass overhead, using Haconby church spire as a navigation point, on their flight back to base.

Comfort and Luxury

The Manor Stables has been awarded four stars and a Gold Award by Visit England.
