Description from owner

Description

Fairburn was purchased by the current owners in 2011 and has been sympathetically renovated with all new appliances, fixtures and fittings. The property was released for the rental market in the summer of 2012. The property lies in it's own 4.5 acre grounds where you can roam free in amongst the flora and fauna of the area.

The property has extensive views over the Moray Firth to the south and east which can be viewed from the large picture windows in the lounge and conservatory. There are three bedrooms - two doubles and a twin. One of the doubles is ensuite. There is a separate bathroom too. The kitchen-diner has a brand new fitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine. The lounge has a woodburner and 32 inch TV with freeview digital channels including HD. From 2016 the property now has Wifi internet access!

Fairburn is within walking distance to beautiful sandy beaches and fantastic moorland and countryside walks. There is also plenty of great golf and fishing close by in Brora and Helmsdale. Slightly further afield are the Orkneys and John O'Groats to the north and Inverness, Dornoch (with its Cathedral and famous golf course) and Golspie to the south. Fairburn is a great base to explore the beautiful region of the Northern Highlands.

“Recommended for staycation”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2021

We’ve had a great holiday at Fairburn and would recommend a stay! The house is comfortable for three grown ups and two children, with plenty of space and fully equipped. Outdoor space for playing and eating. The views are stunning! Walking to the beach is possible through fields but car recommended with children. Quick replies from owner.

Fairburn villa, lovely & spotlessly clean. A very peaceful place even though just off the main road. Amazing views, perfectly situated for exploring. Highly recommended.

“Absolutely perfect!”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2018

This house is perfect. It has everything you could possibly need. The property is in an elevated position and pictures don't do justice to the breath-taking view. It's close to local facilities, activities and history. We used it as a base and travelled to John O'Groats, Ullapool and Culloden Moor, all of which are within reasonable travel distance.
