“Wonderful place, peace, and nature.”

Reviewed 25 Jun 2018

The place was ideal for wheelchair users, was well appointed, very smart, clean, and easy to access. There was no problem with parking. A welcoming tray greeted us, and we soon settled in. Fill the bird feeders and a world of nature opens up. At the time we were there the baby birds were just learning to feed, and they were really cute. It was quiet, peaceful, no noise, no traffic, no hassle. Local amenities consisted of a friendly pub, 'The Gaggle of Geese, and a village shop, both within a few miles of country lanes.

“The Great Escape”

Reviewed 9 Feb 2014

When you need to get away from it all and seek comfortable tranquillity then Bookham Court is the ideal venue. We have been virtually annual visitors for over 10 years. The boys have grown up here and insist on returning each year. We have spent Spring and long Summer evenings by the BBQ and Autumnal / Winter evenings by the cosy log fire. The wildlife and fishing pond are a great attraction with the Badgers and Owls a firm favourite. This secluded Hamlet is only minutes from a number of fine Pubs and the Market Town of Dorchester and Sea side town of Weymouth are but a short drive away and have the facilities to provide for every aspect of a traditional English break.
