Description

The Dairy (sleeps 4 to 6 + cot)

THE DAIRY is a detached 5* cottage directly overlooking beautiful rolling Devon countryside with 2 large super-king bedrooms, both with immaculate en-suite facilities. If required, one of the bedrooms can be configured as 2 or 3 single beds and the lounge also has a good quality settee-bed if needed. (Please let us know your preference when you book). As the name suggests, the Dairy has been converted and now represents a luxurious and characterful holiday destination for our clients within the grounds of the 17th century Redyeates Farm. The Dairy is a certain place for a relaxing time and has plenty to keep the children amused within our 3 acre gardens including our own recently resurfaced all-weather tennis court, table tennis, football, ultra-safe quality trampoline (no springs) and fantastic children's climbing frame. The accommodation is all ground level so it is easy if there are any mobility issues or there are any concerns regarding children and stairs. One of the bedrooms has a walk-in shower. Redyeates Farm is in mid-Devon in one of the best locations for getting to either the north or south coastline and is just 12 miles from either of the National Parks at Exmoor and Dartmoor. Locally there are some very good pubs and restaurants. Taxis and babysitting can easily be arranged in advance. If you like great days out, Redyeates Farm is well placed for easy access to everything that Devon has to offer without having to spend all day in the car. Our changeover day is a Friday. Outside of peak season we can be more flexible and operate a minimum 3 nights on weekends (Fri-Mon) and 4 nights during the week (Mon-Fri). If you require something slightly different, please make contact and we will see if we can accommodate your needs. If you require a slightly larger property (sleeps 8-10) check to see if our Redyeates Barn is available (Property ID 529618).

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your lovely review. Many of our customers have commented about how much there is for the children here as a lot of the places they have been to say they are 'child friendly', but they don't include things like books, games and DVD's for the wet days. We are so pleased you liked everything and look forward to you coming back in the future. Best regards

“Relaxing and tranquil place to unwind.”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2015

We stayed in the Dairy with our 2 young boys. The garden was the perfect place for them to run off their energy, look at wildlife and there were plenty of outdoor toys and games to keep them entertained for hours. The Dairy itself was beautifully furnished and equipt. The beds were particularly large and comfortable. There was even a freezer packed full of food which could be bought, saving a trip to the shop. Gary and Louise were very welcoming and helpful even lending us a sat nav to help us find our way around the winding roads of Devon. Despite the other rental property being near by it was extremely quiet and we rarely saw them. I would thoroughly recommend this property as an excellent place to explore Devon.

“Idyllic”

Reviewed 9 Feb 2014

Wonderfully cosy, spacious and tastefully furnished accommodation with great attention to detail, and a lovely welcome pack with essentials. The farm is located in a spectacular location with panoramic views of both Exmoor and Dartmoor, and for anyone looking for peace and quiet in the heart of beautiful Devon countryside, this place fitted the bill perfectly! Both Bickleigh and Tiverton were a short drive away along scenic routes, and there are other small villages nearby, each with traditional pubs serving delicious reasonably priced food. Can't wait to return soon!
