Description

Bonnygrass is a refurbished stone built terraced cottage in the centre of Clitheroe dating back to the 1800’s available for holiday rental. Backing onto the Castle grounds and set back from the road, the cottage is perfect for a relaxing stay in the beautiful Ribble Valley and is just a few minutes walk away from all the amenities of a market town.

The price set is for the two night minimum stay, discounts for longer stays available if you request to book at £80 per additional night.

The cottage has two full sized double bedrooms and beds available as either twins or doubles, separate shower room and bathroom both with sink and WC, Bonnygrass is therefore perfect for either a family or four friends.

Downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen/diner and a large separate lounge with TV, dining area and cosy wood burning stove. High speed broadband is included and the area has good mobile phone coverage for all networks.

To the back there is a private yard and flower borders accessed through French doors from the kitchen. There is a table and chairs to enjoy the evening sun. The cottage is set back from the road and is approached either up a short flight of steps or a short track.

The central location of the cottage gives you an ideal base to explore Clitheroe with its award winning wine shop and numerous independent shops along with great tasting cafes and restaurants. The castle grounds can be accessed close to the cottage where there are pleasant walks, a children’s playground and a state of the art skate park. Clitheroe is surrounded by the Bowland Forest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty included in this is the iconic Pendle Hill. For days out the cottage is within an hour and half of Manchester, The Lakes, Yorkshire Dales, Blackpool and many more places of interest.

“Very homely and centrally located”

Reviewed 28 May 2023

Bonnygrass Cottage is perfectly located and a short walk to the town centre of Clitheroe. Although we arrived on a Saturday in two cars, we managed to get a parking space outside the cottage on the main road. The cottage is very homely and Helen the owner provided a welcome pack which cereals, croissants, bread, milk and fruit juice. Nothing was too much trouble and Helen provided quick email responses to my questions prior to our arrival. We booked the cottage has we were attending a family wedding. Having a separate bathroom and shower rooms was ideal, as we were two couples. We would have no hesitation in staying in Bonnygrass Cottage again !
