Amazing Panoramic Volcano Views- Entire Villa- $275-night

El Castillo b&b

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Amazing Views!” We loved this place! The views from the villa were simply amazing- the lake, volcano, and rain forest can all be seen from the large glass windows on 3 sides of the villa. A short hike away is a small waterfall. The villa is in a remote location but that is part of the charm. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching toucans, other exotic birds, and monkeys in the early morning. The host, Allan, was very helpful in suggesting tours and activities. The only downside was construction going on during our stay, but now there is a nice covered patio with two hammocks.

Santa Teresa villa

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“You will be happy you stayed here!” My family and I have been visiting Santa Teresa twice a year for the past 4 years! I have to say, Villa Guanacaste has been our favorite place that we have stayed! We will definitely be going back there. Sam, the owner, has done a great job with the building and decor of this home! He is also an excellent source of local information! My teenagers really enjoyed the pool!

Casa De Los Suenos,- luxury Ocean View Villa

Santa Teresa house

3 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Fantastic Villa!” Casa De Los Suenos, is the most fantastic villa, what a find! If you are searching for the perfect place for your holiday, for you and your family and friends, don't look any further! We have travelled to many different countries and stayed in many villas, but this is our favourite one of all! Hanit and Shmulik who own the Villa, Shmulik built it, have thought of everything you would need to relax and enjoy your time in the most wonderful area of Costa Rica, in Santa Teresa. The villa is perched up high above Santa Teresa, with the most wonderful view, perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets! we spent most of our time outside on the spacious deck ,whilst at the villa and it was so peacful. The pool is wonderful, lovely to cool off in when it gets too hot, and the spacious seating area is lovely to relax and read a book or go to sleep! We all enjoyed playing table tennis and shooting pool, which was great fun! We ended up getting quite competitive! Hanit was so kind and helpful arranging everything for us before and during our stay and reccomending restaurants and excursions and making bookings for us. We really loved the beach, essentially it is one long stretch that you can walk for hours on, which we did. The waves were great perfect for the surfers in our party! Some of the best waves ever! It is a big surfing community in Santa Teresa, with a lot of surf shops so you don't need to bring a board. We enjoyed cooking at the villa, in the well equipped kitchen, especially having bought the fresh fish from the fishermen in Mal Pais , but we also enjoyed eating out lots as well. There are many places to try ,from simple beach bar food to a slightly smarter venues, all absolutely delicious, one of our favourites was the lobster tacos at Habaneros our treat on Christmas Day, the Bakery was great for breakfast or brunch, and Koji's was just amazing for sushi! We were very impressed by the choice of restaurants in such a small place. Hanit we will be back soon!

Luxurious 3 Bdrm Condo at Reserva Conchal located on the same property as Westin

Playa Conchal apartment

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“A Perfect Holiday Experience” We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this condo at Reserva Conchal with beautiful golf course views. The condo was perfect for our family of 6 and the access to the resorts restaurants, pools, beach, golf and spa facilities was wonderful. The condo is perfectly situated with easy access to several top-rated restaurants and activities in nearby towns. Our concierge was great and helped with any questions we had. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Family Beachfront Villa at the Espadilla Ocean Club!

Manuel Antonio villa

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Our Week in Paradise” Eoc is absolutely gorgeous. The facilities are brand new, beautifully designed villas. Basically every surface in the villas is tile or stone (of course, there are mattresses and plenty of cushions to sleep and sit on). This makes a lot of sense because there will be sand everywhere when you come in from the beach. You can literally see the beach from the master bedroom window. This, by itself, is amazing. Imagine being able to go to the beach without having to worry about leaving your stuff under an umbrella while you go swimming. Worrying about my stuff is the one thing I always hated about the beach. But having it so close to the villa means you can bring your towel and keys, and nothing else. If you need something else, it's a 5 minute walk back. The villas are fairly close together, but I never felt like my privacy was invaded and I never heard noise from other guests. There was some light construction going on during my stay, but the hosts (Bobby and Shelley) were extraordinarily accommodating about that. They assured us that they would try to have the construction done while we were away, and they always called to ask our permission before there was any noisy construction going on. I barely noticed it. One of the best parts of our stay at EOC was how helpful the hosts were. Shelley was always available to answer questions and give us recommendations. She obviously cares very much about making sure the guests have a great time. She made some great recommendations for activities (catamaran boat, buggy ride up the mountains to a waterfall, and national park tour) and made arrangements for all of it. The small staff at EOC does a fantastic job keeping the facilities in great shape. If you are like me, you will be amazed how quickly you make a mess of the place. But then I was amazed how thoroughly the staff cleaned up the villa while we were out. Eoc was the perfect place for our winter getaway. I'm already trying to figure out when I can get back there!

Alegro Family Condo / Santa Ana - La Guacima (+ Free Airport Welcome)

San Jose apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Great personal attention at Parklands” The Central Valley is the best, with breezes and 75 degree aver. temps. We stayed 3 months at Parkland condos, 2 at alegro Premium and 1 at Cariari Vista. Both condos were great but different. Alegro is isolated near the quaint town of San Rafael. Without a car, bus service is a short walk at the entrance, so we could take trips to many towns and explore. Within the gated area is a pond where there are ducks, turtles and tilapia. Close to the area is a strip mall with a small grocery store, 4 cafes and many other businesses. The grounds and pools are beautifully landscaped. The breezes are great for sleeping. The Cariari condo was a short walk to the Plaza Cariari Real mall, which has a movie theatre and many shops. Every fast food restaurant is there, as well as sit down restaurants. A walking bridge across Ruta 27 highway gets you to the Hard Rock Cafe Costa Rica, a steakhouse, souvenir stores, another shopping area, etc. There is a bowling alley a block down from our condo. Buses and taxis are close by. I got spoiled with weekly cleanings and beds changed, towels washed, etc. by a housekeeper. Both condos had a phone for free calls to the U.S. and Canada. Another phone gave us free local calls. And we were given a cell phone to carry with us with instructions to call Paolo if we needed help or got lost. The best part of booking a Parkland condo is Paolo and Sara. They take care of you to the max. Paolo booked tours for us, ordered taxis, solved every problem we had and answered all our questions, even when he wasn't in town. He even called us one day to say he had business in Panama and wondered if we wanted to ride along for the day. Not having a car turned out to be a plus for us, because we both lost about 20 pounds in the 3 months we lived like the "Ticos" and walked everyday to different adventures. There are so many things to do in Costa Rica...volcanoes, beaches, lakes, rivers, rainforests, etc. I would highly recommend staying at Parklands.

Casa Colibri-Perfect Family Vacation, Luxury Ocean view Home

Manuel Antonio house

5 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 14

“Best Vacation ever!” This home could not have been more perfect for our stay. We arrived January 15, 2014 at 10:30 pm and after a long day of travel (came from Oregon) we were ready to get some sleep. Susan, who runs the rental of this home, was waiting for us at the house with all smiles. She had turned on the lights and aC in everyone's bedroom so we would all be comfortable. She even offered to go to the grocery store so we would have food for breakfast waiting at the house since our arrival was so late. Susan took the time to walk us through the whole property and explained how everything worked which was very helpful because it is a big space. She had our tour menu laid out and all the important phone numbers easily accessible (including her personal cell phone) in case we needed anything. The house was simply amazing. Everything we could have wanted was in the kitchen to cook with. The beds were super comfy (not like a typical hotel) and the grounds were kept so well. The pool was always sparkling clean, laundry service was a huge help, and the wildlife was unbelievable! We saw more wildlife while lounging poolside then we did on our trip to the National Park! I highly recommend this house. It was so amazing, of our 10 day stay, we didn't leave the place 3 of the days. The pool overlooks the ocean/sunset and is private. Needless to say, nobody wanted to leave this paradise and we are already talking about when we can get back to Casa Colibri!
