Description
Burradon Farm is a working farm of some 400 acres at the heart of which lies the 14th century Pele Tower. Wheatlands Cottage is so named after the lovely views to our wheat fields. Once a stable and now converted into a luxurious entertaining/living space suitable for any visitor, holiday-maker or business person.
Wheatlands Cottage is a very spacious ground floor cottage sleeping 4 and is graded 5* Gold by VisitEngland. Flat level access makes the cottage both accessible and disabled friendly. The large en suite wet room is suitable for wheelchair users. The light airy sun room gives access to the patio area with seating and provides far reaching views of the surrounding area. Secure wifi is available free of charge. All beds in Wheatlands cottage are zip and link beds so can be either super kings or twins.
Burradon Farm is conveniently located only a few miles from the spectacular Northumbrian coastline and is also within easy access of the cultural heritage and dynamic centre which is Newcastle Gateshead. The International Ferry Terminal is five miles and the Newcastle International Airport only seven miles away. We are minutes from the A19 and the A1 is less than four miles away, perfect for exploring the great North East.

Wheatlands Cottage is a ground floor cottage offering wheelchair friendly, flat level access. It boasts a tastefully furnished lounge with dining space for 8, exposed stonework, modern free standing wood burning stove and traditional Northumbrian arches which grace the 30ft living space. The lounge leads to the stunning sun room with amazing views and bi-fold doors to the patio and outside space.
The spacious well equipped kitchen with range cooker and dishwasher has a further dining area. The large enclosed garden and raised patio area to the rear of the property can be accessed via the sun room and the kitchen. The front of the property also has a well tended enclosed garden area.
The master bedroom has a huge ensuite bathroom with separate bath and wetroom area. The pretty second bedroom sleeps 2. The family bathroom has a separate bath and shower cubicle. All beds in Wheatlands Cottage are zip and link beds so can be either super kings or twins.

Wheatlands is a single storey cottage with flat level access, ramp and parking close by. There are well tended attractive gardens and a terrace with seating giving great views over the surrounding fields.
