Description

Strathview Cottage is spacious, yet cosy cottage with large open plan living accommodation. The sitting room has a wood burning stove (logs are included in the rental) which lends itself perfectly to relaxing with friends, family or with a good book. It has 4 luxurious super-king ensuite bedrooms which can all be made into twin beds should you wish. The modern kitchen is beautifully appointed with plenty of storage space, seating for 8 around a large pine farmhouse kitchen table and all appliances required to cook up a storm (5 burner gas hob, oven, microwave, American Style fridge-freezer with water and ice machine and dishwasher). With stunning views overlooking the Strathearn Valley, this cottage is ideally located for both relaxing rural getaways or as a base to explore Perthshire and the surrounding area.

“Balmore break”

Lovely high quality accommodation with many added extras. Tremendous views and great food delivered from the farm shop. Very friendly and hospitable hosts. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic break with friends, exceeded our expectations. Quality interiors, amazing view and friendly owners. Farm tour undertaken where we met the animals and collected fresh eggs. Highly recommend

“Beautifully appointed cottage, extremely well equipped and perfect for a family weekend”

Strathview Cottage was the location of choice for a family gathering to celebrate a significant birthday. The location was easily accessible for all 7 of us travelling from different parts of the country although I'm glad we were not dealing with the hill in the winter! The cottage was tastefully decorated, so many beautiful Scottish touches and all of us we were so comfortable there. We took advantage of the final day of the good weather and BBQ'd on our first night. The rain ( long awaited for Ailsa) made a great view over the fields. The view of our sprinting friends "the coos" made for some great entertainment too. Our welcome hamper was plentiful with all the items that we normally have to bring with us, a lovely cake to celebrate the birthday and some really lovely homely touches. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Response from the manager Thank you so much for your review of Strathview Cottage, yes the downstairs bedroom ensuite is tight for a wheel chair, but as you correctly said Ard View Cottage and also Orchard Cottage both have full accessible wet rooms for wheel chair access. Hopefully we may see you again in the future where you will be able to try out one of these cottages. The driveway took quite a beating with the adverse weather over the winter and again with the intermittent heavy rain earlier on in the year but we do have plans to upgrade the surface and we are constantly monitoring it and repairing as required. “Perfect get away”

So sorry this has taken me so long to review! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The accommodation is truly exceptional...the robes and slippers are a treat, the beautiful welcome basket and the warm and welcoming atmosphere is 2nd to none! We also ordered a mral from the kitchen which was as tasty as any restaurant ive ever been to! We would love to visit again one day, thanks for having us!x

“Beautiful house!”

The house itself is beautiful and very well equipped. All the little touches made our time there as a group so special. It is immaculate and Alisa made sure that everything was perfect. The hamper was a great touch too. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Can’t recommend it enough.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
