Description
A unique 2 bedroom luxury log cabin built in the traditional Norwegian “stavlaft” style characterised by massive timber frames, knotted timber walls, heavy roof beams and pillars with carvings, completed with a living roof.
The Cabin can accommodate up to 4 adults and 1 child. The master bedroom can be either set up with a twin bed or a double bed, whilst the other bedroom contains a double bed with a single bed above that can be folded away according to need.
The spacious open plan living area has an airy feel due to its double height where the massive structural timbers are fully exposed in the ceiling, and contains a dining table, sofas and a modern log burning stove. The fully-equipped kitchen is in an alcove off the living room. EPC rating B.
The Cabin is newly built and contains all the modern comforts you would expect from a Scandinavian holiday home including under floor heating and a cosy log fire. The south facing living room extends into a covered terrace perfect for observing the local wildlife. The fenced off garden is a private sanctuary underneath ancient oak trees.
The Cabin is situated on our working small holding. We have free range poultry, pigs and sheep, and we hope you will enjoy having a look around and interacting with our animals.

“Home from Home - But Better !!”
We were blown away by Kirkpark Cabin, it looked so tranquil, pretty and yet had all mod cons. From the moment we stepped foot in the door we knew we'd picked the best place to stay. We wanted countryside, peace, nature, comfort and remote plus dog friendly..we got it all. Local area has everything you need cafes, restaurants and shops...walking through the countryside is a must, the views are spectacular. The Cabin is located at the end of the path so no through traffic or noise. The owners Fia & Alistair were delightful, welcoming and available if needed - they have truly thought about everything to make your stay stress free. We highly recommend this Cabin and looking at dates for our next visit. I loved there was a guest feedback book so reading other guests comments. highlights and tips on where to go etc made it so helpful for us as our first visit here. Plenty of space, fully modern appliances, everywhere is clean, supplied with all equipment, items you'll need. Top marks for this cabin as retreat for just couples, whole family or friends to stay...Great value for money.

“Proper Scandinavian lodge .”
When we arrived a deer was in the garden . Nice welcome . An hour later and two arrived with a foal . Then three red squirrels kept us amused . If you want wildlife literally on your door step this is for you . Homely lodge with all you need . Had a fab time . Would like to return at some point .

“Fantastic”
We had a three day stay at the cabin and loved every minute. The location was stunning, easy to find with given directions. The cabin itself is gorgeous, warm, clean and contained everything that we needed so need to pack the extras, hair dryer etc. I would high recommend trying here to anyone and can’t wait to return
