Reviewed 30 Sep 2022

Beautiful location. Lovely little cottage. Very clean and very well stocked with everything you need So peaceful with loch of the Lowes very close where you can watch the abundant wildlife. Dunkeld is a lovely town with some great independent shops, eateries and refreshments overlooking the pretty river Tay. Amazing walks, woodlands and waterfalls. Stunning scenery. Andrea was fantastic and even picked us up after an evening out. So friendly and helpful. We will definitely try and return. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you for a magical break

“Truly beautiful”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2020

After a unsteady year this has been, I decided to book this fabulous little cottage as a get away from the city and forgot about the world! And that’s exactly what happened! When I was there, I unplugged from listening to the news, and social media, and got my mind lost in a world of pure stunning countryside and nature! The hosts were absolutely amazing, they were so kind, friendly and welcoming, nothing was an issue for them! It was also fairly easy to get there by public transport! The train station was only a couple of miles away from the cottage but Andrea gave me some local taxi numbers and our taxi was fantastic as well! Lots of local walks to do near by as well, some of the most beautiful places I have seen! We walked to pine cone view which was just something else! The loch of the lowes was great too, if your into bird watching, or looking at wildlife, I’d defo go there, and the staff were brill! The village of dunkeld was lush too, nice little shops, amazing chip shop! Little convenient store for all your supply’s! Staying here was a total dream! Even in all the rain we still had a blast! I can’t wait to come back again!

“Peace and quiet and relaxation guaranteed”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2020

I can't rate Little Puddockwells highly enough. It is by no means a sprawling mansion but it was definitely big enough for me and my 3 children. The cottage has everything you need for a completing relaxing break, from a well appointed kitchen to the resident red squirrels that frequent the garden. Upon arrival we were met by Andrea who couldn't have been nicer. She lives next door but unless you needed her for anything (and we really didn't) you wouldn't know she was there. She was keen to ensure we had everything we required then left us to our holiday. If you like walking there are plenty of places to walk to. Equally, the roads are quiet enough and challenging enough if running is your thing. If you prefer to sit and read in a garden this is also possible although you will need to tear yourself from the views. Little Puddockwells is close to more amenities than I can mention. The ancient town of Dunkeld with its cathedral and river walks is a short car trip (or a long walk) away and there is supermarket shopping at Blairgowrie. The city of Perth is around half an hour's drive with walks, architecture and shopping galore. In short, we loved this place and will definitely return.
