Description
Peacefully situated on our organic dairy farm, with stunning views, The Old Farmhouse is very spacious, ideal for family get togethers and special celebrations. It sleeps up to 8 people, two cots and highchairs can also be provided.
Upstairs you will find four bedrooms, a twin - the beds can be zip & linked together to make a super-king size bed, a smaller single bedroom, a spacious double room with a king-size bed and ensuite shower room and a spacious triple room with three single beds, two can be zip & linked together to make a super-king. All rooms have stunning views of our farmland and the surrounding countryside. The bathroom has an over-bath shower, washbasin and toilet. All the beds have comfy duvets & pillows, organic bed linen and towels are also supplied. Please note that we do not provide cot linen.
Downstairs there is a very spacious lounge with comfy sofas, flat screen television with Freeview, DVD player and a selection of DVDs. There is a large inglenook fireplace with a large woodburner. Logs are supplied free of charge to keep you warm and cosy on those wintry days. The spacious fitted kitchen is well-equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and electric cooker. It also has a dining area with pine table and chairs. An additional toilet can be found on the ground floor.
As well as having a woodburner in the lounge, the house is centrally heated throughout.
There is a large lawned garden at the back of the house with garden furniture & BBQ & a play area with trampoline, swings and slide beside the house.
The Old Farmhouse is perfectly situated in the heart of Devon. There is so much to do in the local area for all ages. Within a 5 minute drive is Beartown an award winning role play venue suitable for 1 - 7 years, Bear Trail an award winning outdoor family assault course & quadbiking at Quadworld. Also closeby is Killerton National Trust house & gardens. Travel a little further afield and you will discover Crealy Adventure Park, the famous Jurassic coastline and the wild open moorland and granite tors of Dartmoor, just a few of the many places to visit.
Guests are most welcome to spend time exploring the farm, including watching the cows being milked, making friends with our ponies & our three goats & chickens and discovering the lovely walks through our lanes and fields and spotting the wildlife along the way.
We are open all year and offer both weekly or shorter breaks.
