Maurizia, Andrea, Veronica and Leonardo lead the Azienda Agrituristica La Torre Antica. With our work we produce quality organic wines, extra virgin olive oil, vegetables and seasonal fruits. We have equipped our home to accommodate friends from all over the world, in spacious and comfortable rooms, with our cuisine we offer breakfast and dinner preparing typical Tuscan dishes, characteristic using our products and of our region. Our company and our House is located in the hills of Chianti in Central Tuscany, San Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo, in the commune of GAMBASSI TERME. The House, large and austere, with the Tower dating from the 12th century, it is located on the ANCIENT VIA FRANCIGENA, traveled since ad 990 by Archbishop of Canterbury, SIGERIC, who journeyed to ROME, notes in his travel notes in the ' Sancta Maria Glan ', now Santa Maria a Chianni, Pieve a superb Romanesque. The street, which connected Rome with France and with all the classic sights of the oldest pilgrimages (St. James of Compostella), went to the castle of Gambassi, went down to the Creek aurifero Casciano and thermal waters still visible. The river lapping at our properties. A few hundred yards from home, a shower head and is still officially active. The VIA FRANCIGENA continues for LUIANO, PANCOLE, SAN GIMIGNANO. Our House, formerly, was born as noble's House in the countryside, with the mill and Tower. Its location, 1800 meters of dirt road from the main artery, it's an absolute tranquillity. The walk up to San Gimignano, on the ancient via it's possible even for those who don't feel they call their own. From our House are possible daily excursions to the famous historical cities of Tuscany, A few kilometres from us: Volterra, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Siena, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia.
We offer accommodation in rooms, all with bathroom, and breakfast service included in the price. Rooms with linen (sheets, towels with weekly change) included in the price. The rooms are large, cool, quiet and comfortable features.
For the evening, those who wish to dine in our restaurant hall, on request, offer, clear prices, various themed menus, simple, tasty, typical Tuscan recipes, our family and our memory. The pool is at guests ' disposal and is in the green of our campaign. At guests ' disposal also equipped green spaces, parking inside the property. From our home and is easy reach art cities among the most famous in the world like Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Volterra, San Gimignano, Certaldo. Or stroll along the ancient VIA FRANCIGENA, up to Pancole, San Gimignano, Gambassi, Santa Maria a Chianni.
