Description

St Georges Walk is a large 3 double bedroom luxury Duplex apartment converted from Barracks built circa 1850.

The apartment sleeps up to 8, laid out over 2 floors, with the open plan kitchen,living and Dining room on the 1st floor. Downstairs provides 3 double bedrooms, a four piece family bathroom and ensuite to master bedroom. Bedroom layouts can be made for 3 Double beds or 6 Singles, there is also a high quality sofa bed in the lounge area. St Georges Walk is situated within walking distance of the high street, marinas and Gosport ferry.

The Ferry gives quick and direct access to Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Portsmouth Harbour Railway station with regular direct trains to London. Also in Portsmouth are Wightlink ferries to the Isle of Wight and cross channel Brittany ferries to France.

Commercial vehicles are not permitted to park at the property, there is a free car park after 7pm close by.

“Lovely apartment with lots to do”

The house is located very close to the centre of Gosport. There did not appear to be that much to do in Gosport but the Gosport ferry is nearby. Across the water to Portsmouth is the historic dockyard, spinnaker tower, gun wharf quay, ferries to isle of white and a lot more. We also went to Stokes bay a nice shingle beach with boat/board hire. A lovely clean house, ideal for 6, 1 dedicated parking space and potential other parking very close. Also close by is Aldi and Morrisons We would definitely stay again, thank you.

“A massive disappointment”

We booked this apartment for a week in October, and on 16 September, after paying the full amount two weeks ago, we had an email from the owner cancelling our booking. The reason given was "due to covid restrictions we are no longer able to offer the property as we will require the space for quarantine purposes." Unless we're missing something, we don't fully understand this reason. It has caused us a huge problem as, with just four weeks before we were due to travel, we cannot now find an alternative in a suitable location with parking. Our trip was to visit various members of our family in a way that we all considered to be practical and safe, under current restrictions.

“Spacious,modern appartment in excellent location”

Our family of 5 enjoyed staying in this clean, spacious and modern appartment. It is in a great location - a 5 minute walk from supermarkets and the local high street. It is only a 10 minute walk to the Gosport ferry which runs a very frequent and quick service across the harbour to Portsmouth. We found this was ideal for visiting the historic dockyard, for the train station and for shops, restaurants and cinema. You can take a longer walk to the submarine museum which is very pleasant as you walk past the marina. The flat is comfortable and well equipped and although not far from the town centre is in a quiet area. Sarah was very helpful and always responded quickly to our enquiries. She even picked my son and I up from the ferry as we arrived by train. We would definitely recommend this appartment.

“Great apartment”

Great location very close to High Street and 10 minutes to Gosport Ferry. Apartment well equipped. We were 4 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of space for us all. Had a lovely time
