Description

A spacious cottage set in the boundaries of a 300 year old grade II listed farm house in the peaceful rural village of Old South Hykeham.The open plan accommodation comprises of comfortable lounge area, with large flat screen smart TV. An area for dining looking out over the garden through french doors. The bedroom area has a luxurious king size bed providing guests with quality accommodation to relax in. The well equipped separate kitchenette with combination microwave grill and 2 ring ceramic hob, large fridge with ice box. The modern bathroom compliments the facilities, with a large shower. Wifi is available for guests free of charge. The Cottage is self-catering and a welcome pack is provided, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, bread, a home made cake. Outside, guests have access to a private raised decking area to unwind in which is adjacent to the Cottage, there is also a Hot Tub available for the cottage guests only with a privacy screen,. The hot tub is for sole use of the cottage guests. There is a parking space for one vehicle, and large lawns with free range chickens. A charcoal weber BBQ is provided for guests use. We are located within a short drive to the City of Lincoln with its famous Cathedral, Castle, and array of local attractions including the Lincolnshire show ground not to mention the famous display team the Red Arrows. Newark is also only a 10 minute drive with its picturesque town centre and show ground, Swinderby antiques fairs are even closer still.

There is a local bus service into Lincoln every 20 minutes this is a 10 - 15 minute walk away.

Nice cosy cottage with secluded hot tub. Clean inside, comfortable and pretty close to Lincoln. Friendly host available but not intrusive. The cottage matched the description on the website.

“Beautiful place to stay”

I booked this venue for a 2 night weekend away with my girlfriend and the pictures didn’t do it justice. We arrived late but found it fine and when we got in everything was clean, tidy and more than what we expected. The owners had left a basket of essentials such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, a loaf of crusty bread and a lemon cake - all of which were lovely little touches. The hot tub outside was a great addition to the property and we could even enjoy it late in the evening as the water was very warm and the lighting in the hot tub was perfect. The bed was the comfiest bed we have ever slept in and the sofa was super comfy too. There was a smart tv so we could catch up on some tv and even dvds just in case. The owners really had thought of everything and more and we would definitely come back again in the future. This place is even more special now as we got engaged whilst there! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet few nights away and wanting somewhere luxury but not costing the earth!

“Church farm cottage”

Absolutely beautiful cottage! The cottage was extremely clean, very modern and contained all the facilities needed for a lovely and comfortable stay! The bed and sofa is unbelievably comfy… my partner barely moved off of that sofa because he loved it so much! The hot tub was a perfect touch and was placed in a private, quiet and relaxing area. The owners were very welcoming, if we bumped in to them whilst going out they, without fail, always asked if everything was okay for us. The owners also provided little touches such as hot tub robes, home made lemon cake, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, fresh bread, milk and a breakfast basket, which we thought was incredibly thoughtful. I would definitely recommend staying here, we will 100% be back soon for another beautiful break!

“Beautiful weekend away”

We had the cutest weekend here in Lincoln. A beautifully decorated and pristinely clean cottage. Very private and set back from owners main house. It seemed the garden area allowed for not only a quaint view of their beautiful garden and chickens, but aided in a very pretty and private hot tub area, exclusive to the cottage. The welcome hamper was much appreciated and a very thoughtful touch. This trip was perfect for our much needed quiet weekend away. Local is Lincoln Cathedral and castle which are open to visit along with restaurants and little shops. Lovely stay, and lovely hosts. Thank you!
