Further details outdoors

Possibilities are endless, The fastest growing area of London.

London 2012 highlighted this area of London & with more money spent locally than anywhere else it Europe to create the Olympic Park, surrounding area & infrastructure. 75p in the pound was invested in the London legacy – what happens after the Olympics – so Queen Elizabeth Park is constantly improving for the local community. Crossrail will also bring more to the area – the 'new' part of London.

The possibilities are endless – something for everybody – the main challenge is working out what best to do, from a glorious and diverse selection of attractions. Feel rest-assured, East London is a vibrant and culturally interesting area, which is also the fastest growing & third most important London district, (after The City & West End).

East London gives you a genuine, authentic London, with few tourist traps. Crammed with unique restaurants, bars, family attractions, heritage, fashion and the great outdoors. It covers a vast area, which includes the World Heritage sites at Maritime Greenwich and Tower of London; hunting for bargains and banter in Brick Lane & Spitalfields; events at the ExCeL centre; nights out at The O2; shopping at the brand new Westfield supermall and Canary Wharf; exploring London icons, such as the Tower of London and Tower Bridge; exploiting the Olympic Park and all its glories; visiting the Geffrye Museum in Hackney, or Deptford with its resident artist community and knock-out festivals.

Definitive collection of maps & guides is supplied within the apartment.

“Fantastic apartment - we will be back!!!”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2018

We needed a base to stay for a couple of nights so we could see the Christmas lights on Oxford street and do some shopping. What a wonderful find, a lovely apartment in a trendy location with secure parking and in easy reach of the tube station. The view across the river to the Olympic stadium was great for people watching and there was a wide selection of restaurants and bars. We loved the eclectic decor and really felt at home. We hope to return maybe in the spring as there is lots to explore in the local area along the tow path on the river. Thank you John

Response from the owner Oh Jennifer what you say is simpy not true. 9. The local area is unique to London. More artists live & work here than anywhere else in Europe. Many buildings are 1800/900s former warehouse's & factories (English Heritage sites). Now converted to artist studios etc. Mixed with modern buildings. 1. Cafes/restaurants. I emailed you (as I do all guests) a custom made map + PDf guide to all the LOCAL Cafes/restaurants/bars. There are many. 2. Late open, grocery shop is only 200 meters away – again on the map. 3. Under the sink is always laundry detergent. 4. Hand soap – it's liquid soap in the disensors in bathrooms & kitchen. 5. There is salt & pepper, tea, coffee, suger, dishwasher tablets etc 6. The baby cot is top of the range BabyBjorn. 7. The folding guest beds are top-of-the-range John Lewis Zig=zag beds RRP £550. But fair coment – they are not as comfy as beds. The trade-off is a price – a 2 bedroom apartment is considerably cheaper than a 3 bedroom (with more beds). But I take on board the point – maybe pssible to make a folding bed more comfy. 8. If you had told me about these things. I could of told you where they are.

Response from the owner I wish you would of said the shower head had come loose & the screws on one of the door handles were loose – these are 2minute repairs we could of sorted. I opted for a £9,000, 3mtr x 1mtr Natuzzi real leather sofa – I simply have been unable of find a nice looking large sofa bed also big enough for 6 to sit on. The folding beds are £500 Zigzag beds from John Lewis – top of the range for guest beds. I have another apartment with a sofa bed & people ask for seperate folding beds.... hey, I suppose sometimes we can't win.
