Description

An outstanding, architect-designed apartment of 170 square meters (1,830 sq ft), occupying the top three floors of a handsome Victorian house.

SPACE: The apartment comprises of a master bedroom (king-size bed) with an en-suite bathroom and three further double bedrooms. Second bedroom has two single beds. Even though the single beds are folding, they are premium quality designed for commercial use (the bed manufacturer is Jay-Be and the bed is called J-Bed).

Bedrooms 3 and 4 have a queen-size bed each.

For 9 or 10 guests, there will be extra single beds (same folding beds as described above) available in bedrooms 3 and 4.

The photos of the listing are not updated. Bedrooms 3 and 4 now have a double bed each with the possibility of each having another single bed (for 9 or 10 guests).

There is also a large open-plan living room and kitchen, study, family bathroom, guest wc and a large, south-facing garden. The garden is beautifully lit and ideal for barbecues and outdoor entertaining. The barbecue we have is a Weber gas barbecue which is super easy to use and the food tastes fantastic.

The apartment is suitable for big families travelling abroad, several couples wishing to stay together and group of individual travellers.

BETTER THAN A HOTEL: With good quality beds and bedding, the bedrooms are as comfortable as a hotel but with the use of a kitchen which helps keep costs down for breakfast, refreshments and meals AND you can do your own laundry which is expensive in a hotel. There is a reverse osmosis water filtration system so you don't have to buy bottled water. Also, we have a professional coffee machine which will make espressos, cappuccinos and lattes at the touch of a button, as well as the amazing Vitamix blender and a Magimix juicer for your smoothies and juices. There is a cable TV, bring your laptop with you and use the internet (no daily charge like a hotel) plug in your iPod and play your own music. You will get two complimentary sets of toiletries, just as you would at any good hotel worldwide.

We provide crisp, white, professionally washed and ironed bed-linen and high-quality towels.

LOCATION: The property is located in a wide, tree-lined residential road, 5-min walk from Kentish Town Tube and Rail Station and 10-min walk from a trendy and buzzing Camden Town and Camden Market, with a variety of restaurants and bars. It is within a 2 mile radius from some the best parks in London, such as Regents Park, Primrose Hill and Hampstead Heath.

Main shopping places in London, such as Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street are all 20-min away by London Underground.

CHECK IN & OUT times: we need at least 4 hours to get the house ready for you. However, if I don't have a back to back booking, then these can be flexible as I appreciate if you are flying in/out of London then you may want access at different times. Please check with me. We can always arrange for you to drop off your luggage in the morning and check-in in the afternoon.

MINIMUM STAY: this is usually three days in the winter/spring but during the summer I give priority to holiday requests of 1-3 weeks.

PRICES: The prices stated are for 1-8 guests. Any additional guest will have to pay £40 per day per guest.

Getting around

Kentish Town underground and overground train station is 5-min walk from the apartment. There are also many buses which go just about everywhere in the city. PLEASE NOTE: KENTISH TOWN UNDERGROUND STATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE WORK UNTIL SEPTEMBER, 2024. THE OVERGROUND STATION IS OPEN. Camden Town and Tufnell Park underground stations are 15 and 10 minutes away. Main shopping places in London, such as Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street are all 15-min away by London Underground.

“Excellent Apartment!”

I rented the apartment for my family who were visiting London during Christmas, they were 10 people. Petra's apartment is wonderfully located, very close to the tube station and high street. It is clean, spacious, well equipped and thoughtfully decorated (there was a Christmas tree, poinsettia flowers, lights!). It is just as described and pictured on their website. Booking, check-in / check-out were easy and responding time was very quick. My family had an excellent stay, I fully recommend this apartment.

“Fantastic house in a quiet area!”

The house is amazing, exactly as in the pictures. Everything was perfect, the place was very clean and Petra made an effort to accommodate our big group! We will definitely stay there again if we go to London. The place is also well located in a very nice area and quiet and convenient for sightseeing too. I would recommend this house to everyone!

“Excellent Appartment, Fantastic Loaction”

My Friends and I visited London for a weekend get away - couldn't of wished for a better weekend! Firstly - location, location, location! fantastic! two stops on the tube on Euston and a five minute walk from Kentish town tube. Kentish town itself is excellent, pubs, restaurants, shops, fruit stalls! nothing you will go short of! There is a restraint around the corner called Café Renoir - which I would highly recommend for Brunch. Upon arrival We received a very warm welcome from a Friend of the host who shown us round - communication with Yasmin was excellent. There was even a competently bottle of champagne in the fridge for us, which was a wonderful touch! The apartment is very well kept, homely, spacious & Modern. Just fantastic! The facilities were also fab - the kitchen is very well equip, there is even a coffee machine and a juicer. The beds were comfy & bathrooms were great! There are two bathrooms and also a w/c. Thank you so much, we really enjoyed our stay and we would defiantly come back!
