Cosy Retreats are proud to present Besom Barn, the perfect base for a cosy Northumberland getaway. Whether it's the wilderness of the National Park, the history of the region's many castles or the bustle of the beatiful towns and villages...you'll never be too far away when staying here.

Besom Barn is a well proportioned, studio-style, single storey cottage that makes the perfect little bolt-hole for couples looking to see the best of Northumberland. Inside you will find a spacious living area, with a log-burning fire and a generous supply of logs for those cosy evenings in. In addition there is a flat screen TV, DVD player and a selection of books. Behind the living area, a generously sized bed awaits as well as a wardrobe and dressing table.

The kitchen area in Besom Barn is a good size if you decide to stay in and cook a meal for two. As well us the usual hob, grill and oven you will find a microwave, fridge with freezing compartment, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee maker as well as a generous selection of kitchen implements and utensils. The dining area contains a sturdy wooden dining table and chairs.

The beautifully refurbished bathroom, with under-floor heating, provides a large shower area, sink and WC.

Externally Besom Barn guests benefit from private parking and use of the garden that belongs to the owners, whose property adjoins the cottage.

A small welcome pack of locally sourced and homemade goodies will be waiting for you on arrival at Besom Barn.

The cottage has central heating as well as the wood burner, the cost of which, along with the provision of bed linen and towels, is included in the price.

Besom Barn is a dog-friendly property and as such the owners will be happy for you to bring your dogs away on holiday with you.

Excellent location, cosy comfortable and warm cottage. Warm and friendly hosts who kindly offered to take us to and from the village one evening. Would definitely be back and would highly recommend

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
