Description from manager

Description

Award winning self catering holiday cottage on a working sheep & beef farm near Malpas in beautiful South Cheshire, just 14 miles from historic Chester.

Drovers Barn was opened in December 2010. The farm is set amongst the beautiful valleys on the South Cheshire/Shropshire Borders, and the perfect peaceful retreat for those wishing to get away from it all. As Millmoor is a working sheep and beef farm, guests may help feed the calves, collect the hen's eggs for breakfast, bottle feed the baby lambs (seasonal) and visit the rare breeds of pigs. Families are welcome and we have a play area and ride on tractors for their pleasure. Coarse fishing is also available. There are several excellent local restaurants for dining out, the nearest being the Wheatsheaf Inn, only ¾ of a mile away.

Drovers Barn has been finished to a high Four Star and is perfect for families of up to 7 people. There are three bedrooms comprising of a triple, double and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The sitting room is located on the first floor so you can make the most of the fantastic views and the balcony. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would expect to find for an enjoyable and successful self catering holiday.

The cottages offer the perfect retreat for couples wishing to get away from it all and young families on holiday. We have designed two circular walks around the fields surrounding the cottages which have proved very popular.

The cottage sits at the entry to the farm and has ample parking in front for up to 3 cars. It is completely surrounded by farm life. There are Gloucester Old spot pigs yards away, baby lambs in the paddock surrounding the cottage in the spring months and baby calves just around the corner. 3 beautiful horses graze in a field just in front.
