Description from owner
Description
Our gorgeous cottage is a secluded self-catered bolt-hole sleeping up to 4 people (plus infant), in a pretty village but just 12 miles from Nottingham. Whether you are looking for a quiet break away from the busy hustle of the city, or a base for walking or exploring the area, we can make sure your stay is the relaxing break you need to recharge.
The rural village of Langar is a relatively well kept secret and lies within the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. It is easily accessed from all directions and is located near to the delightful market town of Bingham with its shops, delicatessens, amenities and pubs only 3 miles away. We are fortunate enough to have the stunning Langar Hall, winner of Britain's best rural hotel 2013, situated a few minutes walk from the cottage and is ideal for that special meal or occasion. The Unicorn's Head, our local village pub, is an even shorter walk offering a wide range of meals 7 days a week.
The cottage is set in the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse and has its own paddock and field views. The accommodation comprises 2 elegant bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. A welcome hamper will await you at the cottage. It includes toiletries, fluffy dressing gowns, some welcome items as well as freshly laid eggs from our own farmhouse hens! There is a large private garden with south facing patio area on which to eat breakfast or to simply stargaze in the evening. Parking for 2-3 cars is on the private drive adjacent to the cottage.
A perfect haven for families with young children; safely laid out on one level and well equipped with travel cot, high chair and toys & Baby toiletries. For cyclist there is exclusive access to a lockable shed and plenty of cycle routes in this popular biking area.

“Short Break”
Absolutely delightful cottage in a lovely, peaceful location. The property is extremely well maintained and very well equipped with everything you need or could need during your stay. On arrival we found that owner left us a lovely lemon drizzle cake along with milk, bread and fresh eggs from the onsite chickens which was a lovely touch. Everything in the cottage was high quality from the extremely comfortable beds to the hand soaps and shampoos provided. There was also a very detailed folder containing all the information you needed about the cottage and the surrounding area with ideas of things to do and places to visit. The owner is very welcoming and was in touch with us prior to our visit outlining what the flat had and if there were any specific requirements needed during our visit which was appreciated.
