Description

Little Country Houses offers a truly amazing glamping experience with a number of added luxuries. Our two little wooden houses have been hand crafted and are located in the North Cotswolds within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Pitched at the end of a small touring site the houses have a comfy double sleeping loft with a stunning aspect window with views of the hill and woods behind. Downstairs you will find a micro-kitchen with a cold water tap, double hob, fridge and the essential freezer box for that bag of ice! There is an eco toilet within the houses and a lage sofa bed which will sleep an additional 2 children or adults.

However, the real treat is outside under our covered decks where you will find a large wood fired hot tub for a totally relaxing experience. For the benefit of our guests, the hot tubs are emptied, cleaned and refilled between every booking. Paired with this there is a cosy wood burner with grill and oven enabling you to cook a sumptuous supper before chilling around the fire with a cold beer or two!

PLEASE NOTE:

Minimum 2 night stay midweek - changeover days Monday or Wednesday

The cabins have an eco toilet inside for your convenience. There is also a new dual flush toilet/shower cabin at the site entrance.

For a truly relaxing experience you do not need to drive anywhere as we are located just outside of the pretty village of Mickleton where there are 2 pubs, a village shop, post office, butchers, greengrocers and hotel within a 10 minute walk. Mickleton is also home to the World famous Pudding Club which is also only a 10 minute walk away. If you wish to venture a little further, the beautiful wool town of Chipping Campden is just 2.5 miles away with Broadway and Stratford Upon Avon both within easy reach.

We operate a non-smoking policy in the Little Country Houses.

There is no wifi on site however most mobile providers now have good coverage with 4G being available locally.

Children are welcome on site however we do not recommend the houses for children under 5 due to the ladder, hot tub and wood burner. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 will require full supervision by an adult in the houses, particularly around these items and we ask that you are responsible for their safety.

Check in time is from 3.30 pm and check out is at 10.00 am and our changeover days are generally Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We do offer a 2 night weekend break starting on a Friday however if you wish to check out later than 10.00 am you will need to book the 3 night break.

Dogs – Unfortunately we do not allow dogs in the houses however Longhills Farm Boarding Kennels and Cattery is another element of our business and is on site but a sufficient distance from the houses so as not to intrude. If you wish to bring dogs with you we are happy for them to board in the kennels however this will need to be booked in advance.

Not suitable for children under the age of 5 due to steep ladder and wood burning stove.

Dogs not allowed in the cabins however we also run a boarding kennel business which is located away from the campsite so as not to cause a nuisance. Your dogs can be accommodated but will also need to be booked in by contacting the owner.

Response from the owner Hi Lyn - Thanks for the review however a little surprised as we do not advertise oil as being provided and leave all of the essential we do advertise to include washing up liquid etc. We did adjust the shower for you and have not had any other complaints? The bins are approx 100m from the site so not sure where you were leaving your rubbish and we do make it clear in all of our information this is a request due to the COVID pandemic for the protection of our staff - as for emptying the hot tub, we ask that you turn a tap before leaving to assist with emptying, cleaning and refilling it or further guests however it not an essential requirement

Lovely little gem in the middle of the Cotswolds. Tanya was extremely welcoming and gave us a great walk recommendation. Hot tub was lovely, as was the log burner and the cabin itself. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all.
