“Lovely Cottage”
Friars Folly is a lovely cottage in a very beautiful location set high above Millers Dale giving the most amazing views over stunning countryside. The cottage is very well equipped, spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and very dog friendly. There are lots of walks from the door including a short walk to the local pub the Anglers Rest which is very friendly and serves delicious food. Tideswell is only a 5 minute drive and has all the amenities you need including a well stocked co-op. The owners Pam & Vicky are super hosts and although we didn’t have any problems with our stay they would be on hand if you need anything. We would definitely recommend staying here and would return without hesitation.

“Lovely retreat”
We had a great time on the farm. The beautiful surroundings and the friendly owners made it hard for us to leave. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfirtable. Plenty of things to do,we went cycling on the Monsail trail and enjoyed some beautiful walks. The children adored the little lambs and cuddling the lambs was the highlight of their holiday. Thank you.

“Comfort and peace in the Peak District”
We really enjoyed our stay at Friars Folly, Monksdale Farm. The house was well equipped, comfortable and roomy, with lovely views over the surrounding hills and walks from the doorstep. The owners were very friendly and on hand for any help required. The position of the farm was good for visiting both Buxton and Bakewell and the surrounding area. We hired bikes and cycled the Monsal Trail which was very enjoyable. All in all highly recommended.
