Description
Podere Settefrati an Impressive 17th Century Stone farmhouse originally a convent, spacious with many of its original features preserved. Its white washed walls, exposed beams, fireplaces and terracotta floors take you back to a nostalgic and romantic past. Set in the Chianti hills a rich landscape of olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees secluded but not isolated. Only 1.5 km from the hilltop village of Montaione with small craft stores, supermarkets, shopping mall, banks, pharmacy, doctors, gas stations and good restaurants and pizzerias just ten minutes walk from the house and reachable by footpath.
The location of the accomodation is well reached in 40 minutes both from the Pisa International and Florence Airports along the main Florence-Pisa-Livorno road.
Thanks to its central location, it can easily reach all the major cultural cities in Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra and San Gimignano.
Day trips can be arranged for Arezzo, Moltepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza (famous locations for wines and cheese: Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and for the production of pecorino cheese from the region) .
The ancient route of the Via Francigena , which in the Middle Ages connected Rome to Canterbury, is situated 1 Km from the house and is easily explored on foot or on horseback.
Just 15 minutes drive away, in the town of Castelfiorentino, with Train Station with parking, Florence and Siena are a 40 Minute journey Pisa and Lucca just over an 1 hour.
Nearby you can visit, famous vineyards and castles where you can enjoy wine tasting , sparkling wines and local produce.
The house is distributed on two floors; ground floor there is a lounge with sofas and armchairs, a dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. Further three bedrooms and a bathroom are on the first floor. Distributed in the living area there are two antique fireplaces, one of which is completely in stone by hand. It has very interrnet connection, television, satellite TV, DVD player, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and all small appliances. The kitchen leads to private garden in which there is a patio with barbecue overlooking the surrounding countryside where you can enjoy a vast panorama.
The pool, the size of 14.00 x 7.5 ml, is perched on top of the hill overlooking the environment of the countryside and is surrounded by a large patio and lawn, trees for the shade, a large gazebo with table, armchairs, sofas, chairs, tables and beds. On the side of the swimming pool you can enjoy a comfortable jacuzzi with hot water. Suitable for 6 people.
On the front of the house there is a patio with tables, chairs and a play area with mini-football, swings, slide where children can safely play in complete safety.
The products of our own production are available free of charge to our guests that, outside of the house can enjoy our "aromatic herb garden" full of herbs (mint, thyme, basil, marjoram, sage, rosemary, parsley, celery) from experience in making dishes.
The house is ideal a family or a small group. It can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably.
It is a small family-run farm with vineyards and olive groves and guests are welcome to the harvest.
The fresh bread and baked goods, are delivered daily from the local baker who delivers everyday to local farmsteads.
Within walking distance there are tennis courts and stables, while the golf course of Castelfalfi is a 20 minute drive from the house. It is possible to book in advance, bike rental, taxi (up to 9 people ) maid service.
The owners will welcome you with warmth and kindness and try, with discretion, to make you feel at home. Upon your arrival you will find a welcome hamper with local produce, fresh bread, pasta, olive oil and wine production and a small gift .

Prices include bed linen, bath towels and swimminpool towels, gas electricity and water.
Wi Fi free of charge.
Central heating is not included in the price. Paid locally if necessary.
