Description

Our recently refurbished South Devon comfortable family holiday cottage provides an ideal break for a family of 4, with friends, extended family or just the 2 of you for a romantic getaway in a quiet location. There is parking for 2/3 cars in the front whilst a very large garden at the back provides a relaxing environment with sunshine most of the day. Big enough to have a good run around, completely enclosed so no need to worry about the children.

In addition, relax in front of our curved 40" TV in the evenings with freeview and a DVD player is also available.

The cottage is located within 1 mile of the A38 enabling easy access to Plymouth 45 mins away, Exeter 20 mins, Market town of Newton Abbot 15 mins, Dartmoor 10 mins via the Gateway to the Moors, Bovey Tracey. It only takes 35mins to reach Teignmouth or Torquay 30mins (traffic dependent) and the beaches whilst there are many woodland walks on the doorstep or within a few minutes by car.

The local shops are less then 5 mins including the well known Trago Mills shopping complex whilst the Stover and Dainton Golf clubs are around 5 mins away.

Bovey Tracey hosts a farmer's market fortnightly and boasts many pubs, cafes and restaurants.

There are local swimming pools: outdoor at Bovey Tracey and indoor at Newton Abbot and a wave pool in Torquay at the Riveria Centre near the sea front.

Getting around

The best way to move around this area is by car however, there is a regular bus route within 1/2 mile of the house which can take you to Exeter or Newton Abbot and beyond. The cycle path provides easy walking/cycling access to Bovey Tracey/Lustleigh towards the Moors or Newton Abbot and the River Teign. Access to the Moors and the seaside are all within easy driving distance/time through beautiful countryside.

We will welcome you soon after your arrival and the keys will always be waiting for you - hanging up in an easy to find location. If you have any concerns about the cottage, we are easily on hand if you need some advice or to deal with an issue which requires addressing before the end of your stay. We can provide further advice for area ie: places to visits as we have done most of them over the years. Please note the garden is minimally shared.

“2 Delves Cottage”

My family and I stayed at 2 Delves cottage for week. The hosts were very friendly welcoming and helpful considering we only gave them 24-hours notice. A well equipped clean tidy homely three bedroom cottage in a great location especially if you like walking because Dartmoor national Park is only 10 minutes drive away or if you like cycling it is literally on the national cycle route 28. Even though it's in a quiet countryside location it is only one mile by car to the A38 which will get you to all the other holiday hotspots and attractions in South Devon. Great large back garden for the kids or dog to run around and let off a bit of steam. We will stay here again.

“A Perfect Holiday Cottage”

Lovely quiet location close enough to civilization but far enough away. Huge garden which our kids loved a lot. Host who lives next door was very knowledgeable about the area and great with the kids, inviting them to feed the chickens in the coop every night. Had use of a rope swing and trampoline. My parents dog was most welcome. Cycle track and the start of many walks was right outside the house. We will visit again given the opportunity.
