Description

Riverside Apartment forms part of a Category B listed building (circa 1850s) which formally housed the Natural History Museum of Perthshire and is situated overlooking the River Tay offering superb views towards Kinnoull Hill and beyond.The apartment is the perfect location to relax and watch the resident bird and wildlife as the river flows by. There are resident families of Otters that are seen daily from Riverside and there are also now Beavers! a recent reintroduction to the Tay system. They are now resident in this part of the Tay, evidence of which can been seen from the apartment on the west bank where they have been gnawing at and felling trees so if your up early or late its possible to spot them from Riverside Apartment.

The lounge and kitchen afford perfect locations to set up a telescope or camera for nature watching in complete comfort.

Conditions of Let:

Arrival and key pickup will be after 3pm or by arrangement. Apartment must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

The cost of the let is fixed irrespective of the number of occupants. The right to terminate the booking if more than the stated maximum of occupants are found to be occupying the property is reserved.

The property must be used for holiday purposes and not sub-let.

Payment is to be made by credit / debit card and transactions will be processed via the secure Streamline payment system. A non-refundable £100 deposit is required as confirmation of booking, with the outstanding balance due to be paid six weeks prior to the start of the letting period. Bookings made within six weeks of the start of the letting period are required to be paid in full.

In the event of cancellation after the full balance being paid any refund is at our discretion. It is therefore strongly recommended that you take out insurance against the cancellation of your holiday. In all instances deposits will not be repaid and an administration fee of 10% of the total cost will be charged.

If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide the property booked we will refund all monies paid in full and the hirer shall have no further claim against the proprietor.

Use of the property is at the hirer’s own risk and no liability shall fall on the proprietor for injury to the occupants or for any damage or loss suffered by the hirer’s personal property.

Guests must leave the property clean and tidy. Guests will be charged for any extra cleaning required following their stay and for any breakages or damage to the property. Credit card details will be retained to act as a security on the property in the event of breakages or extra cleaning being required.

Smoking is not permitted in the property.

No pets or animals are permitted in the property.

Failure to comply with the above stated conditions may result in termination of the let at the discretion of the proprietor and incur a charge in respect of any losses incurred by the proprietor.

The apartment has one large double bedroom with king size bed , fitted wardrobes , feather duvet and pillows . Large double windows with speculators river views

Sitting room comes with stressless recliner chair and settee, Large UHD TV with complimentary cable TV and high speed fibre broadband

Dining kitchen is bright and modern coming fully equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and microwave. Tableware, cutlery and all utensils are provided.

Shower room has mains pressure shower. Egyptian cotton towels and mini toiletries provided

Accommodation is contemporary in style, bright and comfortable with all services and linen included. Digital radio, iron and ironing board are provided also.

Parking - There is ample metered on street parking available which is free overnight. There are also four car parks within 50 - 100 m one of which is a manned multi story. Cost is from £4.50 per day.

Please note Tay Street is closed to all traffic from May 2023 for 20 months to allow Scottish water to undertake essential works . During this period there will be no parking but drop off and pick up directly outside the apartment is accessible at all times . A fifteen minute free ticket is available from parking machine

“Short break away”

Just returned from a short break away, the apartment was lovely and so homely and the views out of all the windows of the river tay was amazing would definitely return.

“Lovely bolt hole - great views.”

Stayed for a long February weekend at this lovely apartment. Was met at the apartment by Marie - a very warm welcome. Very well equipped - everything you could possibly need for a superb stay. Great views across to the river and Kinnoull Hill opposite. Lovely light rooms and very comfortable. Just 5 minutes from the main shopping and tourist areas. Thoroughly recommend this gem of a place.

Response from the owner Many thanks for taking the time to review Riverside Apartment. As discussed, the lock has never been a problem for other guests. The two times you were “locked out” l travelled to let you in by turning your key fully round in the lock so you were never locked out in my opinion, only unable to turn a key. The apartment is in Perth city centre so a level of noise is to be expected, hopefully counteracted by the stunning views

Response from the owner All guests, whom I treat with the utmost respect, are made fully aware of the heat resistant work top savers in place to safeguard the oak work top. On collection of the keys extensive,deep burn marks were found. Although this had happened two days in to a seven day let I was not informed as no problem was deemed to have occurred. This damage, along with the general condition ,left my property unlettable until the high standards rightly expected and enjoyed at riverside apartment could be resumed.
