Description

Garden Cottage is a large and very comfortable 4 bedroom/ 2 bathroom detached home in the heart of Braunton village. The large garden is surrounded by high walls, making it private and very safe for children. Local shops and restaurants are 3 minutes' walk away while the glorious beach of Saunton Sands is around 5 minutes by car and the popular traffic-free Tarka Trail bike route passes within 100 yards.

This house is a perfect holiday destination for a large family or even 2 or 3 families sharing a holiday. There is easy access to local activities including great surfing, walking and cycling, but the property is equally well-suited to guests looking for a quiet, comfortable retreat in which to enjoy more gentle indoor pursuits. There is off-street parking for up to 4 cars and a very large garden with ample provision for outside dining, relaxation or barbecuing.

around 6 weeks before your holiday. The £300 will then be refunded to your account within 1 week of the end of your stay. (Subject to damages etc)

This property is exceptionally well-equipped with everything you need to make your holiday run smoothly, whatever the weather. The facilities in the large open plan kitchen /diner include an induction hob, two full size ovens, washing machine, dishwasher, American style fridge-freezer, farmhouse-style dining table and a comfortable sofa. Patio doors connect the kitchen directly with the outdoor dining space. There is a comfortable sitting room, with open fire, cinema projector and ample seating including a sofa bed to accommodate extra guests if needed. A separate children's play room includes large screen TV with a PS4. Facilities provided for guests include wireless broadband, an extensive library of books, a huge range of DVDs and games, and a good stock of board games. Upstairs the large master bedroom has en-suite facilities. A large children's room has bunk beds, loads of children's books and a day bed which folds out to a small double sofa bed if required. 2 further double bedrooms and a family bathroom are on the same floor. All bedrooms have space to accommodate a cot if required.

True to its name, Garden Cottage features a large outside space which is well equipped for relaxation, fun and games and/or outdoor dining. The garden includes mature trees and extensive lawned areas and is fully enclosed when the gates are locked, making it very secure for children, although there is also a small pond, (with safety net), so young children must be supervised. The large trampoline has a safety enclosure. The large patio area has an 8-seater wooden table and chairs and BBQ. There is off-street parking for up to 4 cars.

It's best to use your car, however there is a lovely train ride from Barnstaple to Exeter on the Tarks Line.

“Excellent central location with large garden and parking.”

This large house is in a central location only 100 yards to the shops and pubs. Great large garden and off street parking for four cars is a big bonus. Perhaps five minutes drive to the beach at Saunton and another two minutes to the surfing beach at Croyde. Wonderful family feel to the house with plenty of books of all sorts. It was like staying in a library. Big screen projector in the lounge and a well stocked children's room adjacent. Magnificent large kitchen with a central island and all the equipment a large family will ever need. Good sized dining room for our party of eleven, including a fourteen month old toddler. Great en-suite to master bedroom and a family bathroom for the other three bedrooms.

“Perfect for 3 generations of our family, excellent location”

We had a great week in Garden Cottage - grandparents, parents and young grandchildren all enjoyed the lovely house and child-friendly garden. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bbq was great. It is a short stroll into town where there is a great selection of shops and restaurants. We had our first (and very large) grocery shop ordered online and delivered by Sainsburys which was a great help with such a large houseful. We enjoyed the beaches at Saunton Sands and Croyde and loved the National Trust property at Arlington Courtas well as RHS garden at Rosemoor.
