Description

A TRANQUIL, RIVERSIDE LOCATION.

A beautifully presented, single-storey bespoke wooden lodge on a small park of ten lodges ideally situated beside the River Clun. The park in Clunton is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of Shropshire's Clun Valley. Immaculate throughout and providing spacious, contemporary accommodation, this wonderful Shropshire lodge, near the town of Clun, sits in a superb position next to the river.

It is perfect for a romantic retreat or provides a peaceful hideaway for those seeking a relaxing holiday in an idyllic setting. This lodge, one of the larger lodges on the site, has been thoughtfully decorated and is set entirely across the ground floor. Guests will find two charming bedrooms with luxury beds, a large, well-equipped kitchen, a bright dining area plus a comfortable lounge. On one side of the lounge are two full size glass windows with a patio door in the middle affording attractive views over the river. On warm summer evenings this sliding door can be swept open to give access to the side decking and allow a cool breeze inside . On the front wall are two more sliding patio doors with views over the rolling hills. Wander out onto the raised decking with your morning coffee and revel in the peace and tranquillity of the area, or simply relax at the river side and try your hand at fishing on a sunny afternoon (rod licence required). The decking area attracts the late sun, so chill out with a glass of wine or wander down the lane to the traditional English pub which serves great food.

There are excellent walks and cycle paths from the doorstep of this Shropshire lodge, with the enchanting wildlife site of Clunton Coppice just a short stroll away. Bury Ditches is close by, boasting an impressive Iron Age earthwork fort from which uninterrupted views can be enjoyed. The local history of this impressive area can also be discovered in Clun, with its romantic 11th century castle ruin and local amenities including shops, tea rooms and welcoming rustic pubs. Ash Lodge is an outstanding lodge, ideal for a memorable holiday at any time of year. If you like your modern electronics, you'll love the Samsung telly with freesat (freeview), along with a bluray/dvd player. There is also a separate hi-fi system with ipod/iphone dock. It even has a phone for guests to use free of charge.

This stunning location is perfect for those looking for a quiet base from which to explore the Shropshire countryside on foot or by bicycle or car. Many places of interest nearby and there's no need to travel for fishing or bird watching.

Due to the nearby unprotected river, we think the lodge is suitable only for supervised children. However the decking is enclosed and can keep children safe.
