Enjoy a wonderfully peaceful break staying in this lovely log cabin, with fantastic views of stunning scenery right outside your front door. The accomodation consists of one double bedroom and sleeping accomodation for two further guests is on the double sofa bed in the living area. The lodge has a modern, well equipped kitchen and a dining area to comfortably seat four guests. Outside, Bamburgh Lodge has a terraced area with furniture and a grassy area out front with a picnic table. The village of Longframlington is just a 15 minute stroll or 3 minute drive away and offers a wonderful selection of pubs serving good food and great beer, local shops selling local produce and all the other conveniences you might need such as newsagents etc. So whether you're looking for a base to get out discover all that Northumberland has to offer or you'd just like to hideaway with a good book for a few days, Bamburgh Lodge offers you the perfect location.

For larger parties, Bamburgh Lodge can be booked together with its sister lodge, Coquet (no.1150703). The two lodges are next door to one another and make the perfect venue for parties of upto 8 people.

Pets - The owners of Bamburgh Lodge are always happy to welcome up to two well behaved dogs with responsible owners. We'd ask that you bring your own throws/blankets if you would like to have your four-legged friends on the sofa for cuddles!

Please note that Bamburgh Lodge is available for short breaks all year round EXCEPT the May half term and summer school holidays.

“Lovely Log Cabin”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2022

This lovely cosy cabin is a "get away from it all" experience, perfectly located in the heart of rural Northumberland. With everything you need at or nearby, this is a genuine 'retreat'. Sadly for us, we got covid within a day of arriving and had to abandon the holiday!. We did stay here some ten years ago when it was under different ownership, and can report that it remains at a high standard of maintenance today. So we'll come back when all is well - highly recommended.

“Peaceful, relaxing location”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2019

A wonderful place to stay, so peaceful! The log cabins are well spaced to give privacy and are very cosy and comfortable with excellent view from windows. A welcome bottle of wine awaited us though some people might have preferred some coffee, tea, milk and sugar to start off with. Until you get used to it, it can be very easy to trip up in doorways but otherwise it is great. Books, games and a selection of dvds available but we took a decision not to watch television and no internet. Bliss!! Hardly any sounds to be heard but for the birds singing and it was wonderful to see pheasants and wood pigeons strolling by. An ideal base if you want to "get away from it all" or to visit the surrounding area and the village is a short distance away if you prefer to dine out or need some supplies from the shop. A visit to Thrunton Woods is a must if you enjoy walking. Enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to return at a later day and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit of peace and quiet.

Checked into this great cabin on Friday to find a cosy environment and a bottle of wine in arrival. The place was spotless and has all the home comforts. Set in a great location around 10-15 mins walk into the village and stubby scenary. Will definitely come back here again!

The Lodge was very well equipped and well situated for nearby attractions. We were greeted with fresh daffodils and an Easter Egg which was a really nice touch. Would certainly stay again and recommend to our friends.

“Great accommodation in beautiful surroundings”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2018

What a place! Spent two nights in a log cabin that had all “mod cons” but also the romance and uncomplicated leanings of a less stressful life. The accommodation was comfortable and pleasantly warm despite the best efforts of the UK climate. The bed was comfortable and provided much needed sleep after walking the Northumberland coast, sleep that was unbroken by noise, light or other interference. The most comforting hoot of a nearby owl was the only sound to be heard. Washing facilities were superb, a nice, powerful shower, hot water always on call. The kitchen area provided a toaster, microwave, oven, jobs and fridge/freezer job done. A nice touch was the accessory list which made sure that all day to day needs were catered for. The seating area was clean, spacious and comfortable even with the luxurious bed settee extended to its fullest. The location loaned itself to short drives or walks to pick up essentials whilst being central enough to provide a hub to visit the Northumberland coast. All in all, a lovely experience and one I will repeat, my thanks to David and Yvonne.
