Description from owner

Description

Farmhouse Cottage is an 18th century former farm worker's dwelling' set on a working farm. The cottage was updated and newly refurbished in 2013 whilst retaining many of the original features of oak beamed ceiling and an open fire. Farmhouse cottage has a warm and cosy kitchen / living / dining room with oak staircase leading to a large bedroom with a sizeable en suite shower room. The bedroom can be adjusted to accommodate either a luxurious queen size bed or alternatively twin single beds. The cottage has been furnished to a high standard with a new fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher and has been carpeted throughout. Central heating and an open fire - means that Farmhouse Cottage is warm, comfortable and cosy. It has a new 40"flat screen freeview television and even has an electric reclining chair! The cottage enjoys a view of 'Bosley Cloud'- the local landmark. Walks up Bosley Cloud are a must - to appreciate the spectacular views over the Chehire plains, Staffordshire and Derbyshire's Peak District. Farmhouse Cottage is on the borders of all three Counties and is therefore a convenient and suberb location for exploring the delights of all three counties including the Peak District of Derbyshire. An abundance of National Trust properties, historic houses and beautiful gardens are nearby together with Jodrell Bank with its Lovell Telescope, Alton Towers theme park, the Gritstone Trail walking route, Macclesfield and Delamere Forests, the Roaches and Hanging Stone, Chatsworth House, Styal Mill, Rudyard Lake, Tittesworth Reservoir, and Silk Museums in Macclesfield & Leek. The Potteries are within 25 minutes drive away and the roman city of Chester is within an hour's drive. The Cities of Manchester and Liverpool are in easy access by train or car - and for the shopaholics - then the Trafford Centre or Cheshire Oaks shopping outlets are a must. The market towns of Congleton, Leek and Macclesfield are within 10-15 mins drive and the lovely spa town of Buxton with its beautiful Opera House and outstanding architecture is only a 20 minute drive away.
