Description
This detached holiday pig-sty conversion has been beautifully decorated and renovated to a very high standard, and lies adjacent to our home, however is totally independent and private, with its own private garden.
It sleeps two to five people, with a four-poster bed and a sofa bed with a pull-out metal frame and a single z bed. We can also provide a travel cot and high chair for babies.
We welcome guests for holidays, mini-breaks, just two nights, or longer-term lets which will be offered at a lower rate if more than one month so please contact us for details.
Free Wi-Fi, heating, welcome pack, and toiletries. ( Please note that although we offer free Wi-Fi we are in a very rural place and Wi-Fi can sometimes be a bit sketchy and may not be as fast as it would be in a town.)
Well-behaved dogs are welcome (sorry no Cats) but please inform us if you are bringing your pet.
As well as having the many features above, it is an ideal getaway as we are lucky enough to be placed in beautiful peaceful surroundings in a lovely village, close to the picturesque wolds, as well as being near the capital of the wolds, Louth, which was voted Britain's favorite market town by Countryfile magazine, and is known for its fantastic food shops.
We are also within a short drive of the famous Cadwell Park, the seaside resort of Cleethorpes, Donna Nook nature reserve where seals come to give birth in November, and walking distance from Covenham Reservoir where there are watersports, bird watching, and a lovely walk.
If you are here for a romantic break and have any further requirements such as wine, flowers, chocolates, etc. please let us know and we will make sure you have whatever you require and will give you a price in advance.
An information folder, containing details of local pubs, restaurants, and shops, as well as walk leaflets and brochures on places to visit, can be found in your holiday cottage.
We have great restaurants all within a short drive.
For those of you eating out with dogs, The Cross Keys just one mile in the next village allows dogs in the bar area where you may eat and have access to the full menu.

“A Perfect Place to Stay”
A perfect place to stay during our visit to Lincolnshire. Our host (Christine) provide a very warm welcome and had freshly baked cupcakes awaiting our arrival. We found the property to be ideally located - nestled amongst peaceful country fields whilst being a short drive from Louth. The property has a tonne character, quirkily decorated with pigs in keeping with the Pig Sty name. We found it spacious and very comfortable. Having its own enclosed garden was tremendous for our Labrador dog. Folders were full to the brim with local information - walks, dog friendly beeches and takeaway restaurants. Really made for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you Christine.

“Amazing stay and perfect for dogs”
We stayed at the Pigsty for 3 nights with our 2 dogs and it was amazing! The location is perfect down a very quiet country lane and the Pigsty itself is lovely and perfect for dogs and us! Christine was there upon our arrival to greet us and showed us in but left us to it for our stay but was available at all times if we needed anything. She had made us Millionaire shortbreads which were delicious so thank you, and the Pigsty was fully equipped with everything we needed including milk, toiletries in case we forgotten anything. I was surprised how spacious it was inside and the pictures don’t do it justice and the enclosed garden is ideal and big enough for dogs. It’s lovely and peaceful set in the countryside and easy to get to Louth, Grimoldby, Fotherby, Hubbards Hills and Mablethorpe beach and other surrounding places. There is a lovely walk down the Lane and back across the fields and neighbouring villages are all just as lovely as Covenham St Bartholomew's. The reservoir is a short walk away and some pubs and a restaurant near by. We loved our trip to the Pigsty and would highly recommend it and we will definitely be returning and thank you for a lovely stay.
