The front porch has plenty of room for coats and boots.

It has 2 large bedrooms one with a double bed and fitted wardrobes, the other has twin beds and plenty of storage.

Steep stairs lead from the hall to a small twin room in the attic, this is a great room, ideal for children & adults

There is a high chair, safety gate and large fir guard available.

All bedrooms have garden views.

There are 2 steps to the bathroom where the bath has a shower over, a w.c. and basin. Towels are not supplied.

The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, air fryer and electric cooker slow cooker. Plenty of crockery and cooking utensils.Tea towels supplied

The cosy sitting room has ample seating, with tv and dvd player. There is a dinning area with table and 6 chairs, a dresser for storage. Wood is supplied for the fire which runs the central heating.",

There is a small shed opposite for wood and bikes.

The front garden has garden furniture and a BBQ.

We have just built a log Cabin to relax in.

Up to 2 dogs allowed at £15 each to be paid on arrival.

As there are chickens and sheep in the field near the cottage and I would ask that dogs are kept on the lead around the property.

I am asking all guests to bring their own towels, facecloths, hand sanitisers and rubber gloves.

I do hope you understand this is for guests benefit as well as ours.

“Gem of a place”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2021

We booked Loanview for a special birthday celebration. We started the week spending two nights with friends of ours. The setting was ideal and the glorious weather and lovely friends made the weekend very special. Our friends left and our daughter arrived with our grandchildren. The weather continued to be glorious for the remainder of our stay. This made it perfect for the children and us adults to have some fabulous fun in the grounds of the cottage. There is a massive grassed paddock where we played all sorts of games and had tremendous fun. A summer house to relax in, an area for alfresco dining amongst the most idyllic scenery. The hosts Pamela and Jim couldn’t have been more friendly, accommodating, helpful and sincere, nothing being too much trouble. They even put a bottle of bubbly in the fridge, which went down a treat! and turning up on my birthday with a card and lollies for the kids. The accommodation is comfortable and well stocked. The area is a good base from which to visit areas of interest in north Northumberland and the borders, Coldstream being the nearest town. There is a fantastic park there, but if you want a small park there is one just across the road from the cottage. Would definitely go back to Loanview. Thank you Pamela and Jim. The Mills family

“A gem of a cottage, ideally situated to explore countryside, seaside and interesting places”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2020

We really enjoyed our time in the cottage, the owners were really friendly and helpful. It was a great central location for exploring. We loved the cosy log burner, and we had absolutely everything we needed, a real home from home, warm comfy beds, well equipped in every way. We would definitely recommend this place, and such great value for money too. We have paid much more in the past for so much less comfort.
