Our second visit to this lovely property, probably the best equipped holiday property we've ever stayed in! The garden is delightful, as is Bishops Castle itself.

“Bishops Castle”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2019

Just spent a week in BC staying in a lovely cottage, very comfortable great facilities and dog friendly. Secure garden which was fantastic as this isn’t always the case. Stuart was really helpful before we arrived and was quick to respond if I had any questions. The location was great for us, great access to the village centre, all the pubs with excellent food and shops, and more fantastic walks than you could shake a stick at! My dog was shattered (as were we) The countryside is really lovely Everyone in the village/town were really friendly and a little cake shop did the most amazing carrot cake. There’s a little cafe tucked away which did a lovely full English just what was required before a long walk. Had a blast thank you Stuart .

Response from the owner We leave books and games in the property for guests to read and use during their stay and we have always had great reviews for this. We do not have our own property at the cottage apart from cleaning and maintenance equipment. As for saying our cottage needs a "deep clean" we take exception to this as we always clean the cottage to a high standard ourselves and have never before had a complaint about cleaning in the 7 years we have let the cottage. Having met the guests during the week, when no mention was made of any problems, we noticed one of the guests obviously had mobility problems which we clearly state our cottage is not suitable for due to stairs and wonder if this made their stay difficult ?
