Description
Flora's Barn sits in the grounds of Town End Farm on the edge of the ancient village of Crowcombe in the heart of the Quantock Hills, the first area in Britain designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a footpath directly opposite the entrance which leads right up to the top of the hills and across the surrounding countryside which has changed very little from the days when it inspired the romantic poets Coleridge and Wordsworth.
Just a few minutes walk will take you into the heart of the village, where you will find the village church, shop with Post Office and also the excellent pub, The Carew Arms.
Flora's Barn is perfect for the traditional summer holiday or for short breaks any time of the year.
We keep a small selection of outdoor play equipment for young children. Transportation for the setting down and collection of guests and their bikes can be arranged. The property has adjacent paddocks where sheep and ponies graze.

On the ground floor of Flora’s Barn there is a twin bedded room with french doors, and a shower room with enclosed shower, basin and loo. On the first floor there is large combined kitchen, dining and living area which has cathedral windows to the whole of the West side with wonderful views of the surrounding hills and beautiful sunsets. There are french doors leading to a small decked terrace with a few steps down to the cottage garden. There is a further double bedroom with king-size iron bed and an en-suite bathroom with a caste iron roll-top bath with shower attachment and basin and loo. The barn is centrally heated and also has a large log burner. A cot and highchair can be supplied by arrangement.

“Fantastic farm at Flora Barn”
Lovely surroundings, cute little pony, sheep & chickens. Cream tea on arrival was really nice. Spotlessly clean best I have stayed in, we had very hot weather so the garden was a sun trap to sit in, or chill out in the lounge looking out onto the garden. Very relaxing and peaceful, lots of places to visit in the surrounding areas. West Somerset Railway is a must if you want to travel back in time.Would love to go back some day .
