Description

Herd House Holiday Homes are a group if three properties two are next door to each other, one is 15 meters across the yard. All have exposed stone work and oak beams, two have a wood burning stove, in the three properties two of the lounges are very large. There is access to the patio area with seating, shrubbery and grass area.

There are 17 beds and 3 sofa beds in the properties 4 of the beds are king size.

All properties are spacious with lovely rural views. All have wifi

For the larger group the properties offer large get together spaces and yet have room to spread out.

High Gate is the largest of our properties, the lounge has 3 three seater sofas, two arm chairs a dinning table that seats 8 and space for an additional table to be added if needed. The lounge has access to the patio area at the rear of the property. Where there are tables and seating, the patio area opens up onto a large lawn area ideal for children to play.

In the kitchen there is also a table that seats 6, other amenities in the kitchen include, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms two rooms have a king and a single bed, one with en-suite, the third bedroom room has three single beds. There is a forth room on the first floor that can be a second lounge or forth bedroom with two sofa beds

Delph Cottage with two ground floor bedrooms and family shower room. This makes the property disabled friendly. On the ground floor there is the kitchen and dinning area, separated by the long worktop of the U shaped kitchen, this gives a lovely space for food preparation. Fitted in the kitchen is a range cooker with two ovens, dish washer, fridge, freezer, microwave, under the stairs is a washing machine and tumble dryer, and all the other things you would expect. The dinning area has a table that seats 8, a three seat sofa bed and TV. The two bedrooms on the ground floor each has twin single beds. With a shared walk in shower room.

On the first floor there is the very large lounge, the windows have unspoiled views across to Pendle Hill. The décor has exposed beams and stone work with soft painted walls. For you comfort on a winter evening you can light the wood burning stove. The master bedroom has a king size bed, with is a en- suite bathroom with large corner bath that has a shower over.

Threshings is next door the High Gate and part of the old barn, it has been tastefully converted leaving beams in the bedrooms and some exposed stone work.

The rooms are large a spacious. The lounge has a stone fireplace with a wood burning stove, a leather three piece suit. The kitchen has a dinning table to seat 6 with all the equipment you need, including fridge freezer, washing machine, dryer, microwave, The rear door opens on to the patio area and garden with garden furniture leading on to the very large shared lawn area. That has ample room for ball games, and views over the open county side. The two bedrooms both have an en-suit shower room .One room has three single beds to other has a king and a single bed. Being next door to High Gate to two properties are ideal for the large party.

Herd House is set in rural Lancashire, yet close to the motorway. Making this the ideal setting for those wishing to tour the wider areas of Lancashire, the Lakes, and East Yorkshire. Burnley has each year a Blues festival, and in July the Balloon festival and a walking week, Briercliffe has historic connection with the Quaker Movement some of the older properties being used as a meeting house.

For people looking for the historic castles there are Skipton and Clitheroe. Houghton Tower is a 16th century fortified manor house. Country houses include Townley and Slamesbury halls. Howarth art gallery has the largest collection of Tiffany glass in Europe. The Abbeys of Whalley and Sawley. The ruins of Wycoller Hall with it's Bronte connections, all this and more is just a short journey.

Two of the properties have very large lounges so people can mix. with ease. The very large lawn are is ideal for the eating out, and children playing. We also allow playing in the indoor school if it is not being used.

Response from the manager At the time of the first enquiry I told the client that I had two weekends that I could not accommodate her because I had booking for all three properties, in the time that the enquiry became a booking I received two further booking for all three properties from people that had paid in full at the time of booking. During e mails with this client over a period of 4 or 5 weeks. She treated the early e mail as a booking I treated them as a enquiry . she had 4 week notice about the second as I failed to inform her about this booking so some od the problem was mine I offered to pay for her in another accommodation, one was a hotel with swimming pool and spar
