“Not bad, not great”
In the past we stayed a little further south in Fenwick Island. We thought we would try Bethany and this property, primarily for the kayaking. The Salt pond is very pretty, but the trees completely block the view from the family room balcony and the master bedroom. The furnishing are quite a hodge podge and really need replaced. The kitchen is small and not very well equipped. The third floor area is way too hot and the window air conditioner is too loud too sleep. The limited number of visits to the pool made things hard. And at $4 a visit per person, you really didn't feel you could just go for a quick swim. Bottom line, you can do much better for the money, but it was OK. Oh..we only got the kayaks in the water twice.
Everything was great. The house, the town... It was our 1st experience in Bethany, certainly not the last
“Peaceful family retreat”
This clean, airy home is a treasure! We were looking for something away from the congestion of the main road, but close enough to enjoy everything Bethany had to offer. We found ourselves not straying often from this home or Salt Pond, as everything was here that we needed. The end-unit home insured that there was little noise or foot traffic. Most of our time was spent on the lovely deck off the living room overlooking Salt Pond. (There is the same expansive view from the Master Bedroom.) The treed lot insures lots of privacy, without obstructing the view. We could bike to the golf course, pool, and also to Harris Teeter in the morning to pick up fresh bagels for breakfast or to grab a newspaper. The home had all the amenities we needed: Good beds, DVD,cable color TVs, modern appliances, and loads of kitchen equipment. The ground floor washer/dryer combo and full Wifi access were a plus. The casual ambience of this home makes you want to shred your stress and sink into the overstuffed sofa with a good book, or gather friends for a nice dinner. When we did break away to go to the beach, it was just a few minutes away by car or bike. This location is convenient to the "main drag" shopping and restaurant areas of Bethany, farmer's markets, and the free Boardwalk concerts. This is a great place for families to enjoy Bethany.
“Wonderful Vacation Location!”
Bethany Beach is a superb location! Much better than Ocean City. It is quiet, relaxing, wonderful restaurants, gift, antique shops, and a golf course nearby. The condo is perfect for couples or large families who want to get away and relax by the pond or beach. Beds very comfortable, kitchen equipped with everything to prepare meals. Highly recommend 26 Jeremy's Branch Condo to future vacationers!
“Ups and downs”
Lovely location and mostly lovely accommodations. It would be good to post a note on the frig that the vacuum cleaner is in the first floor bedroom closet. The dishwasher leaks when not full and the laminated particleboard above needs a diffusion barrier for protection against moisture. The kitchen floor crackles underfoot - possibly due to dishwasher water damage. The unit should be de-cluttered (too many hand-me-downs) in the main living area. The verticle blinds need replaced. The laundry room door needs fixed. The mirror/dresser mismatch and missing tabletop in queen bedroom should be fixed. The waterbed frame and bent quilt stand in the loft should be removed. There were childrens underware left in the first floor dresser and hair on the master bedroom sink.
Response from the manager "'We always appreciate helpful comments from our guests. If you ever find anything not working properly, you can report it immediately to Wilgus and they will take care of it. The new dishwasher was missing a gasket that was removed by a previous renter, and has been repaired. The laundry room door has likewise been fixed. The 'creaky kitchen floor' was 'born that way', aka was like that when we bought the place. Not caused by any water damage. (Keeps midnight snackers on their toes!) We hope you will return! Again, we try to make our home as comfortable as possible for you. If anything is ever amiss, the Wilgus folks will take care of it immediately. Glad you liked the view and the settting!
