This single-storey cottage in the hamlet of Whitridge sleeps four people in two bedrooms.Ridge Cottage is a semi-detached, single-storey cottage in the hamlet of Whitridge, 10 miles from Morpeth in Northumberland. The cottage has a double and a twin room, a bathroom and a wet room. The kitchen has a dining area, and the sitting room has a gas fire. Outside is off road parking for three cars and a front patio with furniture and country views. Ridge Cottage makes a cosy year-round base for enjoying Northumberland's countryside, houses, castles and more.
Amenities: Gas underfloor heating with electric fire in sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, iPod dock, selection of books and games. WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Front patio area with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 5 miles.
Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
Town: The former farming hamlet of Whitridge is situated close to Scots Gap village, offering both a village shop and fantastic country store. Only five miles away from the National Trust property of Wallington Hall - with its associated gift shops, tea rooms and farm shop selling local produce - this lovely little settlement is surrounded by views of the Rothley Craggs. Rothley Folly, another National Trust property is nearby and can be seen from the hamlet. Other historic attractions include the village of Meldon and its thirteenth century church. At only five miles away, this is great place to walk to along pretty country lanes. Morpeth is only ten miles away and is set along the course of the River Wansbeck, offering various pubs, restaurants and shops.
