We have split our home into two separate private section. We live on the top floor and rent out the lower floor which is a 1500 square foot Guest Suite. Our guest enjoy a private entrance.

What you get from staying here is an entire down stairs floor with 2 large bedrooms, 3 balconies, a full bathroom with 2 sinks, bath tub and shower, private entrance, an outside fire pit, as well as a huge play room with pool table (additional queen air mattresses are available). You can also enjoy a 50 inch TV with Nexflix - Sorry no cable.

You also get the use of a partial kitchen we created - a outdoor kitchenette. It has a new appliances including small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooler and a BBQ grill - no kitchen sink or no oven. If your comfortable cooking on a grill it also has a side burner for additional cooking options. It's well outfitted for breakfast and lunch - dinner is more challenging for some. We supply paper / plastic plates, drinking cups and utensils. You can save some money by eating in if you choose or keeping your left overs ready for re-heading for an afternoon snack.

This vacation rental is located on 1.2 acres at the top of a hill where you get to enjoy mountain and a small ocean view. Relax by listening to the singing of birds, the chirping of coyotes and peacocks in the distant.

If you like to hike we have many trails that are close. Beach view hiking trails or mountain hiking are 10 to 20 minute drive. Enjoy a close shopping center within a 3 minute drive with a pharmacy, grocery store, places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a French bakery and an a place to get an original "Thrifty Ice Cream". Let's not leave out Starbucks.

Beaches and Southern California activities are all around. Within 10 to 15 miles you can choose to enjoy the beach, a harbor, the pier or do some shopping at the famous "Carlsbad Outlet Stores". Start the famous drive down the 101 through the beach towns.

If you enjoy general water activities we can help you plan for kayaking trips, jet ski rentals, water ski and wakeboard rides and city tours as well as get you on a fishing boat or whale watching trip. We will help you search for local discount that come our way!
