Description

Detached 2 bed chalet. Close to Dartmouth, Torquay, the beautiful Blackpool Sands a blue flag beach, Slapton Sands, Salcombe, Thurlestone, Hope Cove and many other beauty spots. Parking is directly outside the chalet, and there is a bus stops outside the Park, so a car is not always needed(You stand in the layby and wave down the bus). Being detached and not directly overlooked, you have some privacy and indeed, not the worry of noise next door, this makes a big difference to your stay. We use this as our holiday retreat, so we treat it and furnish it with the care and love that will bring years of joy to us as a family. Suitable for singles, couples or a family, this is a lovely chalet we are proud to call our holiday home, come share it with us for years to come also.

Beautiful views of the stars and Milky Way on clear nights.

Bed linen/towels,t-towels,toiletries NOT provided. Duvets and pillows are.

No dogs or smoking.

“Booked and paid for but cancelled by the company”

The company cancelled my booking which was non refundable 2 days after I had booked and paid for it. stating they should of charged a higher rate than was advertised. My plans now ruined due to greed.

“Perfect for families!”

Stayed here last week, the chalet was exceptionally clean & plenty of cleaning products in the kitchen for us to use during our stay which is really important to me and I was very relieved to find. There was bread and milk in the chalet for us upon arrival, along with tea coffee and sugar - Thankyou so much! Really appreciated this! Beds were very comfy and all had mattress and pillow protectors on. Beach chairs, buckets/spades, books, board games, clothes aired, hairdryer, all provided in the chalet for our use, making it such a good place to stay for families! Location is great, very short drive into town and to the beach, with a Lidl literally 2mins away to grab any essentials. Approx 40min drive to Paignton, where we spent a morning at the beach then onto the zoo - highly recommended!

Response from the owner Dear prospective guest. Thank you for reading my reply to this review. I won’t take much to see what type of guest we had. They fail to say that they left two messages saying how much they enjoyed their stay. Despite this they left a sis page essay of things we should do. We take all reviews as potential ways to improve if relevent. However on this occasion after replying to say how glad we were that they enjoyed their stay but that many of the points they raised have never been an issue in 5 years and that we won’t be keeping the toilet brush they bought things changed. I had a text saying and I quote’ we have not foiled in the trip advisor report yet and we will give you the benefit of doubt if you implement all our points ‘ Then they go on to say and again I quote..’all holiday accommodation have toilet brushes and I suggest you tell guest you don’t provide one, this is a serious matter’ and finally they say this.. ‘ how do you want your report to read? Think carefully’ I can get this review taken off a malicious but I won’t as I am confident we provide good value accomm as recognised by our last 7 reviews!!! I’m not going to answer all the point on here but they did have the water heater trip to which our maintenence support sorted immediately and this is nothing to do with any previous issue with the water as it’s a new heater. Finally this persons mentality is confirmed when they assume that our cleaner must be female? They say ‘she can dip the brush is disinfectant every time she cleans’ why assume a female? Anyway I enjoyed writing this reply and have told these guest I suggest they don’t do chalet type holidays as it obviously doesn’t fit their expectations. It’s a CHALET!! Lol.

“Perfect Base”

Great little chalet in a perfect position for exploring the local area. Hot water tap in the bathroom a little temperamental but everything else is perfect including handyman George who's an asset to the owners. Dartmouth is just beautiful we didn't want to leave. We'll be back next year.

“First Rate little Chalet .”
