Description
Hang Your Hat has its own private courtyard garden, a delightful spot to enjoy the outdoors for just you. We thoroughly clean the property taking special care to disinfect contact surfaces. Contactless check-in and check-out according to your preference. Hand gel is available at the property.
Styled for visitors seeking a stylish or romantic bolthole, a place to enjoy some relaxation time and from where to visit the delights of Winchester. Perfect for the traveler who wants to relax and chill at the end of the day, a book by a log fire, a glass of wine, or watch the sun go down in the courtyard garden after savoring the numerous delights Winchester has to offer.
It is just a short walk to the centre of the city with its award winning restaurants and pubs, nestled around the oldest High Street in England. Close by you have the Cathedral and beautiful walks through the Water Meadows where Keats was inspired to write Ode To Autumn.
You have space for dining and for entertaining colleagues and friends, there is a fully equipped kitchen to simply do your own thing.
There is a candle lit Hamman style steam room, gentle underfloor heating with oak and limestone floors, art on the walls, fine linen and robes in the bathroom, a Jetmaster open fire with seasoned logs supplied. There is Wi-Fi for your laptop and should you wish, entertainment with Sky Q, a comprehensive DVD collection, something in the fridge, and a fine malt in the study, complimentary with your stay.
Stroll into the courtyard and find the stone, cut over a 1000 years ago, part of a mullioned window of Hyde Abbey, the resting place of King Alfred The Great whose bones are now thought to be buried in the local churchyard of St Bartholomew's.
Please note: Energy usage is charged at 50% of cost, payable to the owner on departure, based on arrival and departure readings.

“Gorgeous little place”
We were let down at the last minute by another cottage letting company but Mike answered our request straight away. Hang Your Hat is such a lovely little house with everything you would need. We are very happy things worked out the way they did as we could have not found anywhere better that Hang Your Hat. It was close to all the places on interest, bars and restaurants of Winchester. We would definitely go back and would certainly recommend to others.

Response from the owner Just had guests stay for a week who said that had no trouble at all parking. The visitors permit space outside the front door is not always available. On arrival, I offered to cover the cost of the nearby parking (50 yards) but this offer was declined. Chose instead to leave a review about parking.... Otherwise delightful guests.
