“Carol's Birdhouse gave us a charming place to rest after sight-seeing!”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2014

My husband, my folks and I were delighted with the Seward Birdhouse. Clean, classy, and cozy, with a great view of the Harbor. It was close to downtown AND the harbor area with a walking path along the way. The kitchen was pleasant, the rooms and bathrooms perfect, even a washer and dryer. We enjoyed a DVD from her thoughtful selection one evening! We learned a lot about the Mount Marathon this town celebrates every 4th of July. A perfect spot if you plan on going on a Kenai Fjords Tours, or just meandering around the local specialties! We highly recommend this home. Carol is friendly, efficient and accommodating! Thank you Carol !

“Seward-great accommodations”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2013

We stayed in the Seward Birdhouse while visiting our daughter who is working on Fox Island. The house is clean, cozy and centrally located. Walking downtown and to the harbor was very easy and the view from the front of the house was a lovely view of Resurrection Bay. Carol left a bunch of coupons for different establishments in town. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped to cook if you wanted to do that. Was a memorable experience!

“Great Time at the Seward Birdhouse!”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2013

Me and my family of 4 had a wonderful stay at the Birdhouse while traveling in alaska. Carol the hostess did a great job of providing all of the needed information and then fading out of the way. She was quick with follow up information and was ready to come let us back in when we thought we had accidentally locked ourselves out! We found the Birdhouse to be exactly a described and pictured, with great amenities like internet, TV, a well appointed kitchen and most important of all for a family traveling with kids, a washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable and the location was exactly what we need. We arrived off of a cruise ship without transportation, planning on walking or taking cabs, and found the Birdhouse to be ideally located between the Bay, the town and the cruise terminal. You can see the Bay from the property and it is a short 2 block walk downhill to a great running/biking/walking trail along the bay. 2 or 3 blocks in the other direction is the old section of Seward with its nice spots to eat and shop. The place was very clean with clear instructions and expectations. When we come back to alaska we will be calling the birdhouse and Carol for our accommodations!
