Description

Enjoy your visit to Seward, Alaska and stay at the Seward Birdhouse, your nest away from home! Cute and cozy stucco cottage, conveniently located in town with beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. Two blocks from the beach and historic downtown.

Completely furnished with full kitchen, free laundry, cable TV, WIFI. queen bed, two twin beds. Photographs and artwork by host decorate the Birdhouse. Parking on-site. No smoking, no pets.

Driving Directions: Seward Highway 9 changes to Third Avenue in town. Turn left on Madison Street, drive two blocks and turn right on Fifth Avenue. The Seward Birdhouse is the second house on the right at 433 Fifth Avenue.

Note: the Fourth of July holiday requires a minimum 3-day booking that includes the nights of July 3, 4, and 5th.

Note: for June 20, 2020 only requires booking June 19, 20, and 21.

Getting around

A rental car is the most convenient way to get around to all the sights. Exit Glacier is also serviced by Liquid Adventures with hourly trips. The Alaska Sealife Center is a nice walk along the waterfront path, part of the National Historic Iditarod Trail, or straight south on Fifth Avenue 3 blocks and over one. Downtown shopping and restaurants are only two blocks away.

Interaction with guest

Email is a great way to communicate before and during your stay. A land-line phone with an answering machine is monitored frequently.

Responsible party must be 25 years or older.
Please remove shoes at door.
Turn off lights and turn down heat when you are out for the day.
At end of stay, it is expected that dishes and coffee pot (if used), will be loaded into dishwasher and cleaned, trash collected and placed in outside trash can, and place left in an orderly condition.
Note that the upstairs twin beds are accessed by a wrought iron spiral staircase which may not be suitable for young children.

How do damage deposits work?

If Carol (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
